I believe the the Kawasaki concours annual meet up this weekend. People from all over the country come to the meets and this year it happens to be at the lake of the ozarks.

Now I understand. I work second shift now and quit riding to work because the animals are just to thick on the roads I travel at midnight. I was sure seeing a lot of bikes and protective gear. Something you don't see around here most of the time. This is a great area for riding.

A couple of us rode the creek roads south of Warrenton a couple of weeks ago. To darned hot for this old guy right now! Retirement means I can pick my days to ride now. Heading to Taylor Park, CO in Sept for 10 days.

Just got back from Nova Scotia, cool up there and till the last day coming home. Rode from 7 AM till noon the last few days around locally to beat the heat. Heading to Birch Tree Sun. evening to explore back roads, should be bearable there next week. By then I'll have 6000+ for the month.

I'm thinking about heading to Chadwick on Sunday. Any advice for someone on a trail only bike looking for the best trails who hasn't been there? I'm mostly going to scope the place out for a future trip with some friends.

Rode some of it today and yesterday along with other stuff, scouting for Loose Nut.^ ^This section of BigDog's TMOT can be a handful, and that ain't even the worst of that section. :D

What dates are you riding it, me and Loose Nut may be in the area about then?

It wasn't very hard. Sieg rode right through it. I rode ride through it. Shortbritchs decided that since it was a photo shoot he'd look for the deepest spot.

Some of you guys here have shown interest in the BMW Challenge, those that don't want to ride it can see it up close and get a few perks too. Here's the flier seeking volunteer help, contact us via the email address if you'd like to get involved. We just need scorers for Saturday, you can ride and watch the rest of the time.

How hard is it to make a Yamaha wr250f or wr450f street legal in Missouri? What are the necessary steps to make it street legal? Has anyone in here done this? I'm looking at picking one up as a second bike. Just want to make sure I'm able to ride it legally on the street to jump from trail to trail. Any info and help on this is much appreciated.

my buddy registered his CRF450 there. got a kit that had the lights, signals, horn and switches. fairly easy to install. then got an inspection from a dealer (where jowannab worked at the time). they checked the lights and DOT tires. that was about it iirc. pretty easy process.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard of guys doing this but I've also heard of guys getting denied their plates at the DMV after installing a dual sport kit. Seems like it just depends on luck of the draw who you get at the DMV the day you show up.

I've also read that you have to fill out a DOR form 551 and take it to the mo state hwy patrol to be inspected. If it passes then send your paper work to Jeff City and you will receive a street legal MC title.

If the Missouri deal doesn't work check out South Dakota. You can get a plate there even though you don't live in that state.
