Port wine is fine!
The rest is piss!
It sounds jolly good to me, except for the dumping on the head bit.
The resulting gout is no fun though.
"into" As in boomer opens the bottle, tilts his head back and dumps the liquid into his maw in a steady and never ending stream..
My buddy swears by Jack/Coke.
It's fine mixed with cheese.
The wonders of modern technology.
Oh - yes, I see.
It still reduces the availability for the rest of us though.
Well, it's not my drink of choice, but if that's what he likes then that's OK by me. I used to drink those, long long ago, in a nasty pub called "The Prince of Orange". Happy daze.
I really like port. A lot. But only have it on rare occasion these days.
I too enjoy Port but tawny is all I can afford and the 3 vintage bottles I have been hanging on to, I just can't bring myself to pop one...yet.
The Jack/Coke that my buddy likes is what his Gout can tolerate.
So he says.
Booze, like wine, starts losing the intended flavors once opened. Called oxidation. check it out.
I had a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue for a year. The current Double Wood has been in my cabinet for two months and is less than half gone dunno what you're getting at. If we never finished a bottle once opened, why bother having it?
hmm. you never seem to have a problem pouring MY booze into YOUR head
And again I would not partake of a scotch, tequila, whiskey or any other buffet. But I would gladly share and sample back at camp, or someone else's camp.
I'm in for that scotch buffet, but man I have to be careful with that. I could easily screw up a good day of riding, so I'll be glad to provide a bottle, but will pick only a couple to try, and then sit quietly in the corner, out of the way.
Wouldn't want it to oxidize, now would we?
You sure are a crotchey bastage this morning.:huh
It's part of my new year's resolution.

I got his GPS.
Didn't know how ill he was.
