Headed to Chillicothe, OH (southeast of Dayton) from Madison, WI on the 9th with an empty trailer and back on the 10th with an XT225 on it. If anyone needs anything moved along the way, PM me. A northbound bike would have to be small, but anything goes southbound... anything that fits on a U-Haul m/c trailer pulled by a Volvo station wagon, that is.

I'll be makaing a run from south east Wisconsin (Fond du Lac) to Traverse City, MI in late November/early December.

My route will be up and over the top.

I will have a 20 foot enclosed trailer in tow. Trailer will be empty heading east and only a sled returning home. So I would have room going both ways.

I know it's not a long haul, but who knows it might help someone. :1drink

Long shot, but figured I'd check. I may have a need to move a bike from Long Island to Chicago. Shipping quotes I've gotten so far are way high, and this time of year I'm not riding that kind of distance.

Would any of you Central inmates be heading out to the east coast and back with some space on a trailer or in a truck?

It'll be a way to make a few bucks before Christmas...

Keeping the Capo (will try to have the seat tweaked again for longer days) and adding a pristine 07 KLR to the garage...

OK - to give a bit more clarity to what this thread is about -

If you are offering these services regularly, or as part of your business travels - vendors is your place. DON'T post here.

This is the place for casual requests.

The comments from Karmatourer about the services he received from ghostrider.y2k have been moved to JoMomma. That's the place for discussions like that.

I'm leaving southern CA on Monday (12/2) early. I'm going to the states listed above and I'll be back in SoCal on the 12th.

Enclosed trailer. I've loaded a bike or two in my lifetime!

    Howdy ladies and gents,

I'm located out west in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've found a bike in the Minneapolis area and I'm stymied by the cost of transporting it my direction. You are 1300 miles distant and if this was a month or two ago, I would be totally looking to fly n ride.

I'm just looking for any and all opportunities to get this bike sent towards me. Any suggestions would be appreciated immensely. Anyone with trucking connections, anyone traveling west, anyone with other ideas?

Right now, transportation issues/costs are the only reason I can't buy this bike. Arrrrgggghhhh........:muutt

Also, I'm heading somewhere south in March. It's possible I could bring it down there too.

    Thanks for the thoughts.

Buy and store it won't work for me, it's an expensive purchase that I can use in southern climates over the next 3-4 months. Nobody in the area riding Baja or Mexico this winter? I've put in an auction for Uship, discovered them through fleabay ads.

Still looking for other viable transportation options......:ear

wow, I'm just informed that you have a sticky thread for this....way more advanced than the Rockymountains.....:wave
