1 valve down... 7 to go, bah this is slow going. Hope to have the front cylinder buttoned up tonight. With a little luck maybe the front wont need adjusting? I know, fat chance of that happening.

Well.. upside is plugs are getting changed and I found the reason the grip heaters weren't working... Hah... Grip heaters! I am a regular starbux customer already!

I grew up in Visalia. I live in LA now but want to ride the sequoias this summer at home. Anybody planning any big rides starting from Visalia. Is there any trails up the 198?

WAS interested.... until I realized that it was a DOWNGRADE!

On a serious note. I hope you're doing ok and you don't NEED to sell it. Also, i'm used to a 1200 so all jokes aside, it is an downgrade in cc's....~

I'm just going to have to quit trying to explain performance to you BMW guys. You just can't understand what you've never seen. :lol3

I'm good and thankfully I don't need to sell any toys. I just felt like maybe it should go to a home where it would be appreciated. Monti was my only call. His visit got me thinking about riding again.
    How've you been?

    Mission accomplished. Hah!

And more on the KTM... Front cyclinder valves all at the very extreme end of tolerance (tight, intake and exhaust) bike should run noticable different. Hopful to have the motor buttoned up by friday ... If my damn carb tune tool comes in on time.

I'm interested. Does it start with "V" and end in something a pirate would make you walk?

I blame these damn dual sport folding mirrors. It's hard to tell what your ktm is all about with the dang mirror always jumping around blurring your image!

With you out of the area I've had to step up an volunteer for habitat for humanity and help frame houses.

In all seriousness doing good. Not riding much but keeping keeping the fire burning. Just got back from a 640/ish mile loop on the xc. Twisty roads mostly.

Any bike Monti gets has a great home. I don't know anyone else who works on their bikes more!

I hope you don't sell it and get into riding more again. I'm trying to do just that. Blue mountain hell I think sucked it outa me. I should have waited for my collarbone to heal more I think.

If I ever do baja I'll stop by.

    Perry,
I'm so out of practice. I need to get back in the saddle. The Valkyrie goes into the shop on Monday. The 950 after that. Poor thing have just been sitting. I'd like to take you up on a Sierra ride one of these days, I miss single tracks.
Still not sure I have a home for the 950. It worked for me with you guys, but here it's lonely. I'll give it a season and decide. Monti says they last forever, this one only has 10k and new knobs. Almost a sin, knobs have been new for 2 years.

    Lane,
I'm glad you're back on your bike, come on down. Baja is a love of mine. Planning an October trip.

You will have to let me know when you take it out on some dirt, glad to see a bike above 400lbs. Btw how much was your carb sync tool? Was it worth the money? I tried to build one last month and the bike seems to run better after the adjustment.

Oh its already had both side cases filled to busting with groceries twice. It'll carry 4 gallons of milk and still has tons or room, (and grins) for the ride home.

But if you wanna use it yer welcome to putt over and tinker with it.

Roughly $65 including tax and shipping. It works or appears to sure is easy to use. Air box lid off, drop it in one velocity stack, measure, drop in other velocity stack, measure and adjust as necesary. Next time I see my brother in law I am going to drag it down for him to play with it vs. his mercury manometer to see how precise it really is. For my needs it appears to work.
