We are meeting near George, WA. and heading for Cashmere to catch the WABDR to Chelan or further if possible. From there then may loop back through dirt roads somehow. I would expect to be in Wenatchee by 7am if anyone wants to join.

I just finished the WABDR on Tuesday and I'm working on the 990 for a Sept. 1st start of the UTBDR.....but after that I'll be keeping my eye on this group to ride more in that area. I grew up in Selah and would rather ride in Eastern Wa. Have fun this weekend! :freaky

I'm thinking about checking them out sometime soon. Never been there. Anyone else interested, date to be determined.... I may be trucking it down with a friend who's not street legal. Don't know if he's still up for it due to recent family medical issues though.

Is this taken up by the towers off I90 between Ellensburg and Vantage? If so I have day trip mapped out that runs from Vantage to Wanatchee that we were going to do late last year but it was hunting season. I would love to run this. I will post when I figure a good weekend to go

Just north of Vantage is the Wild Horses Wind Farm owned and run by Puget Sound Energy. There is a great indoor visitor center at the summit with 360 degree view for miles. Nice stopping point to refill the Camelback and hit the can before continuing north towards WBCDR etc. The Whiskey Dick Wildlife area (Green dot roads) just past there has some great roads for Dual Sports and smaller ADV bikes, lots of loose rock, be warned. :)

A reminder that the lower Whiskey Dick Green Dot roads are closed till April 30th.

So DIONBILT......I see container and hay trailers with your name on them. Is it safe to assume a connection? :D

Yes, family business. Thanks for the heads up on the green dot roads. Been looking at that area since last year after we did the WABDR. I think I make some tracks that can get me to Wenatchee from Vantage. With some winding back and forth.

I know that whole area very well if you have questions. The recent snow likely means it will be June before the upper roads become passable.

Hey thanks, yeah I was thinking the same thing on the snow and getting over to Wenatchee. We are looking at doing a shake down run for our OBCDR trip. I'm thinking that area would be great. Maybe I PM you for a little info

Yeah, fun area to ride. LOTS of rock, so keep your tire pressures up. Lot of it is loose shale too, and parts of it are challenging. Great scenery though. I live in Cashmere and used to bowhunt elk up there, so I've been around and through it a lot.

I've got a paddle tire a friend gave me on the XRR for the winter and went playing at Moses Dunes the other day. Anyone up for a trip to Juniper Dunes while I have the paddle on? Kinda nice while it's cooler and a little damp sand. Less dusty and not getting sweaty working the bumps is good too. :D
