Okay, I'm going to throw out a time and date. How's 10:00 AM, Saturday 4/23/2016 at the Huger, SC 402/41 cross-road-old gas station sound?

We can run north of there and work our way around through Jamestown area to McClellanville to eat at Buckshot or TW Graham for those that want to. I know it is showing a possibility of rain on Sat. but we'll see how the forecast holds. Alternate day for rain can be Sunday without lunch since nothing is open.

All are welcome to come on out, we always stay together and ride at everyone's ability.

Put a tentative route together, may be a little long but we'll see. Added the .gpx if anyone wants it. Been on most of the roads but never tied it all together. See you all Saturday. Screenshot_2016-04-20-21-17-30.png

Got a gmaps link? I'm unfamiliar with loading gpx into google (assuming you can).

And to be clear, all roads and no trails, right? Assuming that's the case, I'll leave the DS wheels on.

Looks like all roads - not all are paved however.

That's fine, just so long as we're not planning to jump on wambaw or anything.

    Weather forecast is improving!
Is that Old Georgetown Rd your on which ties back into Hwy 17 just south of the river?
If so, it can be a loose sandy ride when it's good and dry. So bring your knobbies if we don't get any rain.

I'm only able to get the .gpx into Google as a track which won't give you a turn-by-turn Gavin. If you download a free gpx tracking app the file should upload so that you can follow it on a smart phone. It should also load into a Garmin or other full gps unit.

All the roads should be mostly gravel, dirt, and limited sand, no wambaw single track. We'll save that for another day when everyone wants a workout.

The last section is over by Old Georgetown Rd. just south of the river. Could be challenging for the heavier bikes without knobbies but this is at the end of the route and just off 17 so easily bypassed if needed.

I would like to get in on one of these sometime... I'm about 2.5 hours north but noon meetings would be possible... Hope to meet some of you guys in the new few months.. Granted I am still working out the off roading as I have only had have this bike a little over a month and it isn't running knobbies.

I'm seeing a 30% chance, seems reasonable. Won't hurt to get a little wet anyway. See you guys at 1000.

Great ride with Jpoetz, Okeedokee, GoGoGavin41, and atcpilotsc today. Some photos coming, and possibly a video of someone going for a swim.

I don't know if I'd call it a "swim" now.
I remember it being more like a "flop"!
