    Harryhammer,

It's been awhile since I heard an update on Brendan. His blog hadn't been updated other than MachVll periodic updates.

I used to join his posted rides every now and then back in the day when Carolinarider site was very active.

I hope he is doing better and would be good to see him again.

I love riding old 18 on Sunday mornings. Definitely many more faster riders than I. Slow but steady....:p3rry

Old 18 is one of the best roads in the foothills . There are several other good roads in the area if u know where to look.

Be careful if you go up after a rain. There are spots where gravel washes down onto the road. Most of the time it is clear and a fun road. Some decreasing radius turns on it too so don't get too froggy.

181 is another great road riddled with tight turns with steep embankments just to throw few more adrenaline to your ride.

Hope you guys have a good time Thursday. This work thing is getting to be a bummer. Anyone from the group planning to go to the Last Saturday Ride next weekend at the Pik-N-Pig?

    Have not posted much lately.

Though some of you may find this interesting. Visited a fellow at Pageland SC yesterday. He installed a BMW K 1200 motorcycle engine in a Onex all aluminum single seat experimental airplane. Built a 2.56 to 1 ratio belt drive and had it up to 187MPH so far.

That's very cool, but I think it would be even cooler with an R1200 boxer engine installed.

    Numa,

Agree, Would like to see boxer cylinders sticking out of both side of the cowling like a Cub!
