I plan to be there - in a Ford not on a BMW. At least that's better than a Chevy or Dodge.

Since a lot of us are planning on doing Sunday's Brushy Mtn Ride, we might have to discuss alternate plans if weather interferes... Although I hope the Brushy thing does happen!:thumb

Had a great time last night!

We had a about 12 people brave the elements to come out and it was very rewarding to me to see that even after four hours of solid and animated conversation, there were still half-a-dozen people talking when I loaded up the TV and headed home at 10.

It was certainly good to see Caroleen out of her full leg cast and wearing one of those funky moon boot things - jumping back on her bike can't be too far behind! And I enjoyed having the movie on in the background - especially the scene with that crazy bridge crossing...

And Rick (Livermush) admitted to having a 1973 Camaro in his garage, in pieces, which I absolutely WILL be going to see sometime soon. I know it's got four wheels but c'mon, it's a 1973 CAMARO.

Next meet-up is Thursday, February 18th. Same place. Same time.

For February, we will screen the movie "On Any Sunday".

Lastly - Thanks again to Tracy-the-hottie-Manager at Hawthorne's for making sure we had the space and the service we needed!

Ya beat me to it Brendan! I was just logging in to give this a bump for the February 18th meeting... I'm headed out the door now for Cheraw and the Sandblast Rally. Hope to see a few familiar faces...

And we'll screen "On Any Sunday" on the 18th at Hawthorne's.

I'd like to come to the next one on the 18th and meet some of you, I live in Cornelius. I'm looking for a DS type of bike so I'd like to pick some brains while I'm there. Will likely bring a friend who is buying a KLX250S today.

    Got space for us?

I've got 500 questions to ask , so I hope there are some who aren't wrapped up too heavily in the movie. I haven't had a dirt bike in 20 years, so I have alot of catching up to do....I'll ask all the silly newbie questions like "What tires are the best" :ear

Always glad to help out a newb, lots of folks from this group helped me out immensely very recently when I made the addition of a dual sport.

Just let us know what type of riding you're looking to do (singletrack, ADV touring, both??) & where you want to ride - really helps isolate which bikes would fit your needs.
