    :wave*Checking in.*

I'm moving to the area after Tgiving - just accepted a gig working just west of Lake Norman in Denver area. I'll be looking to forge new relationships. I'm also looking for a place to rent or a housemate for at least a year. Any referrals out there? I'm single and a very young and spirited 56 y/o. I'm also an MSF rider coach - hope to be doing a little of that too in NC.

    Cheers:)

Welcome! Looking forward to meeting you on Thursday.

Although, the Rex would have still qualified you! I hope it's one of the faster green ones?

Thanks! I'm having a blast on it! I picked it up from a good friend of mine for $1k.

I've already started working on it. Recovered the seat and added some mirrors I had in the garage.

Exploring on my lunch break today hiding under I-77.

Found a little trail on my way home that led to a pond.

I may be able to escape for a little while on Sunday...

I may not be able to say no. If it doesn't rain much between now and then I'm likely "IN".

I need to put those D606's on! Jon (JMforPres) has kindly offered to help, but we're not sure when we'll get to it (I am tied up Saturday 11 to 3). I suppose if I've ridden on the Trailwings this long, one more weekend won't hurt?

    Decisions decisions.

It's the bridge over the Catawba on I-77. Several months ago I had noticed some dirt tracks leading off the interstate. Not the safest thing to do but I decided to pull of and see where they went. Turns out they are basically dirt roads that criss-cross around the river/area. I did figure out that they come out by come apartments, which is a much better way to get back in there. I sent you both PM's with a map.

Ok, I took a good look at the map you sent. The pics Pieeye posted a few days ago are from the same general area but on the other side of the river. I'll fwd the map to Ken and Jon too.

Matt - I think that spot is what I was thinking of when I said I had seen trails go under the Interstate, so I may not be entirely crazy....

And yes, I did find the airplane! First time I've noticed Google Maps capturing an airplane in flight. I'd say that at that distance from the airport, that plane is doing close to 300 or 350 mph - pretty cool to see it superimposed like that.

Bottom line is that weather permitting, I guess I'm going riding on Sunday, new tires or no new tires...
