    Augiedog, BlueridgeRider & XCRider803,

Sorry as I was out mowing the yard so that I can ride tomorrow.:D

I guess I will poll the group to see if you want to combine twisties with a little ADV riding tomorrow based on type of bike everyone is riding. Let me know and I will work on a route later today.

    Meeting Points:

Meet at Cycle Gear in Matthews at 9:15am. 9:30am Kickstands up.
Second Meet Up Point for riders living North of Charlotte. We will meet at the Kangaroo gas station off I-85S and 321N. Take I-85S from Charlotte. Get off 321N past Gastonia. Once you take 321 N exit, you will see a Kangaroo gas station immediately to the right. We can meet there at 10:00am to 10:15 am or so.

Let me know which meetup point. We should be back to Charlotte by 4:00pm or so

My cell number is seven seven zero 823- one588.

    Thanks.

    Jon

Definitely. If I owned one Harley, it would be the one styled from the XR750.

    Nice bike!

I'm up for whatever the group decides - all tarmac or some Adv mixed in. Augie may want to stay on the tarmac with his new wheels and that's just fine. I will meet you at the Cycle Gear location.

    Augie & Numa,

Great ride and great company today.:clap Other than that lunatic V-Max rider that hooked up with us as we rode old 18.

Thanks for showing me some of your favorite backroads. I will try to post our total route tomorrow from the Zumo. I am totally spent and getting ready to settle back with my beverage.:thumb

Nice ride Augie. That's the first Harley I've ever seen that I actually like. Wanted to ride today but this damn school keeps getting in the way. :baldy

Might be able to get out this Saturday though...

had a real good ride today with john and numa. we took some back roads to falston and rode old 18 to morganton where we took 181 up the mt. to jonas ridge. we met some wild dude on a real nice vmax who rode up old 18 to morganton. we were all glad when he decided to turn back. we then proceeded to louise's famous resturant where we had a nice lunch with a real nice waitress. john and myself had the special { roast beef } , numa had a burger. from there we rode over to roseboro where we ran down the old roseboro road (gravel } to coletsville , thru mormiter, and brown mt. beach road to pavement. we then picked up piedmont rd. to 64 to 70 to valdese, up over valdese mt to 18 and back down 27 to charlotte. I showed a little over 150 miles round trip and no rain, imagine that. I rode my new harley xr 1200 r, newman was on his v strom 650. and john on his v strom 1000. hope we can do another ride soon. ya'll missed a good one. here are a few pictures I took on the ride.[IMG] vmax the wild dude was riding. [IMG] intersection near edgemont and roseboro rd about 30 miles of gravel today. [IMG]

At Famous Louise's, I think each of us began to fall in love with our waitress. That is, right up until we discovered her one -- and I'm guessing only -- fatal flaw. When Jon asked her for her thoughts on the pork that was listed on the daily special, she replied "I don't know; I don't eat meat. It's disgusting!"

The ride was great! I had looked at Roseboro Rd. on the maps several times, but had not ridden it until yesterday. Well worth the effort!

Thank you Jon for organizing the ride and thank you Augie and Jon for leading.

Downloaded one more photo of Numa Jr. from US129Photos.com. This was taken on his second pass of Deals Gap -- headed from TN back into NC.
