I'm in C'ville, but don't have a motorcycle yet--just picking up a lot from the forum so far. Would anybody mind if I come to one of these lunches? I haven't tried Belmont bbq yet.

sorry man, if you don't have a bike, when you show up at Belmont we'll attack you with plastic knives and forks and squirt BBQ sauce all over you :evil

Of course you should show up - the more the merrier! I just realized I have an expired tag on my Harley, hope I don't get seen by the man, knock on wood....

Some people would like that idea. Not me, of course...

Thanks...if you don't decorate me with sauce, I won't mention the tag....

Man, that food at Belmont is awesome, i'm glad we only go there every few weeks. I got the Cheezy Potatoes as a side - they're kinda like hash browns with several types of gooey cheese mixed in. Deelish, and totally EVIL! And hey, the brisket sandwich wasn't bad either.....

Good to meet you, Pilot. Hope next time we get together it won't just be two of us sitting in the cold!

Yeah, same here--it was fun hanging out, and I hadn't had a good barbeque sandwich in way too long. But we may need to have a campfire out there next time....

Anybody have any suggestions about where to find used bikes around here? I have plenty of time to look, since we need to replace our stolen car first, but I'm just curious. *If* I can afford anything, it'll have to be used, not-too-recent, and probably in need of repairs. :D But waiting around for something to turn up on Craigslist is pretty slow....

Where is this Belmont place of which you speak? I loves me some BBQ. If I know where it is I might just show up. With the crap ass weather I have been spending mucho time in the garage getting the SE sorted out. Allmost got her where she needs to be.

From Avon Street, just south of the rr tracks downtown, head east on Hinton Ave. You'll go up and over a hill. Just at the bottom of the hill, it's on the right as you enter "downtown Belmont."

Don't know what you're looking for, but a good friend of mine just put his SV650 up on Craigslist ... it's got Ohlins, RaceTech'd forks, maintenance history, good rubber, very clean, etc.

    Stolen car? :ear

Very nice, but a bit more than I was looking for. Think more like a rusty Trail 70 with serious cosmetic issues. :D

Yeah--last Monday night, I parked the car in the driveway at 10pm. At 8 the next morning, my wife went out to go to work, came back in, and said, "Dude, where's our car?!?" No sign of it. Turns out the kid's bike is missing too. So far, no news about either of them. Nobody in our neighborhood (or the cop who took the report) can believe this happened.
