I would be up for ^^this^^ provided the weather is reasonably warm - at least in the middle/upper 50's.

Suddenly looking a little chilly for Sat. High of 63 Fri. then only 50 on Sat. - dammit.

    Can anyone go Fri. instead?

If not, I hope the forecast for Sat. improves a little.

I can do Fri. and/or Sat.

If some want to do the Sherando/jeep trail/Montebello route on Fri. - I'm up for that. Should meet at Afton between 11 and 12.

    Someone else can plan Sat.

I was looking at forest roads 162, 162A &162B between Coal road and BRP. I am not married to anything other than staying near Charlottesville though, I may have to rendeveous with the wife for dinner. If we can hit some trails near Madison with VAbuckaroo, I might be able to convince her to meet me at Bavarian Chef for some cream of red pepper soup! Coincidentally it is the best thing on the menu and the only thing I can afford right now besides the beer.:1drink

We like the coal road area too. That sounds good. I'm working tomorrow and can't commit to a time for Friday until I see what time I make it there Thursday night.:ricky

Y'al let me know what you want to do. We can head out from Sheetz in Madison in the AM on Saturday. As for tucker....the Bavarian is OK, but BBQ Exchange in Gordonsville is kickin' and way less expensive. Oh and they have beer. :freaky

Im watching the weather. If I can see 45 degrees by 11am i'll be riding Saturday. Unless someone comes up with a better plan I'll be up at the grub spot at the I64/BRP junction at 11am. looking to ride Howardsville tpke (sr610) to Mt Torey rd (sr664) to coal road to forest rd 162. Maybe a side trip up to mills creek damn, hopefully some exploring off of forest rd 162. Then jump on BRP and head for home.

GO - If 162 is the jeep trail that comes out at MM23.5 on the BRP, be careful about any of the side roads or trails. Some of them are very steep w/ big rocks and drop offs. Others are tight mtn. bike trails which will be very difficut on a moto and I'm not sure if it's cool to ride those anyhow. Stay on the main trail.

Anyone getting out tomorrow - Fri. - when it's warm?

There's food besides kettle corn at I64-BRP-US250? If not too cold I'm going to try to make it too.

I'd love to head over to Sherando with y'all on Friday, but alas, work calls.
If we hit the fire roads in Madison Saturday, I'll show you folks the Aylor Holler road. It's just off of 231 before Banco. It goes straight up the mountain and intersects Blakey Fire road about mid way between the Saddle and where it comes out on the Ruth road. I figure we can hang a right on Blakey and go to the Saddle and up past the cabins at Rapidan Camp. I can show y'all where the road to Sag is as well (it's where the big relay tower is. It's only open during hunting season.)
