    OldnoGPS-

Great YZ125 from a few pages back. I had the same bike way back when (first bike was a Yamaha GT80.) My father bought the YZ125 off a neighbor who had formerly raced it and man was that thing a blast....I freakin' loved that bike. Some time ago I was tooling along 250 out by Jarman's and saw a guy unloading a restored one, so I took some pics. Here's one:

    Eric,
Thanks for the pic, that's a beauty! Mine was a great bike - fast, fun and reliable as a race bike gets.

Nobody around me had Yamaha's back then. Probably because a guy down the road rode for Honda. After the SL's and the XL's, most people rode Elsinore's. I had several Honda's too but my all around favorite was the '74 TM-250. Holy cats what a screamer.

There were plenty of Suzuki's around here also, always seemed competitive. Yeah, those 250's would give you serious tunnel vision when they were up on the pipe.:ricky
Maybe we should find one and let all the locals try it out - they could see how friggin' fast they are with flexible frames, limited suspension, weak brakes and a narrow powerband that goes from not much to WAAAAHHH in a split second. Yeehaa.

WAAAAHHH is right. Those squishy old bikes were a hoot. Maybe we don't need to revisit the "flexible frames and weak brakes"... :lol3

Nothing like cranking a 1/4 mile wheelie on a 2-stroke 250 though... Yeehaw! :clap

So about movie night at the moto saloon:
vabuckaroo68 has the 2007 Erzberg dvd "rise of the young guns" which he has offered to bring. Does anyone else who can come Wednesday night have a different year or film on Erzberg?

My thought is if we just have the one (a 60 min film) we will start sometime between 7 and 8 but if we can come up with another we can start one at 7 and then watch another after.

Well it looks like I may be out with regards to the ride up in the RWMA area this weekend as well; yesterday, at the end of the day, the bossman said there was a good chance we were working this Saturday. So if I have to bail at the last minute, this is why.

On Wednesday, I'll bring some other gearhead CD's (to the Moto Saloon) for an undercard to the main event.

Lets split the difference and plan to start the Erzberg DVD at 7:30 which is an hour long. We'll also plan to have some other moto type stuff playing in the background both before and after.

    thanks SRG

and anyone else is welcome to bring stuff too, lets stick to enduro/dirtbike stuff if we can.

    See you all there :1drink

My Heroes Legend CD is at the saloon. I'll look around for a few more.

    Enjoy the evening, Grimmy

OK on the 7:30 start Wed. I'm still working on getting my lights sorted out on the EXC, so I may be ready to ride Sunday anyway.
Talking about old bikes...my first 250 was a late 70's or early 80's YZ. twin shocks and metal tank.
Watch the Troy Bayliss story tonight...great movie. It was cool with Ewan M. doing the narrating.
