    Ted,

Your riding w/ one blurry eye is still better than most w/ 2 good eyes. Don't give up - never quit trying. Maybe get a trials bike? I'll be happy to let you try mine.

It's true. And Ted knows these roads well enough to ride with one eye tied behind his back. :D

But enough pity party, he'll be riding again in no time.

    Thanks for the kind words.

SRG - going slow away from cars and deer on a trials bike has a certain appeal, but I don't have anywhere to really take advantage of one. I used to fall off riding trials way more than anything else. Maybe I should try it so that when I crash the fall may help move this eye floater out of the way.

hppyfngy - want to buy a weeStrom? :rofl
(I sold it to hppyfngy in Oct.10, bought it back from him Oct.13).

Man, I am sorely tempted... especially as you've done all the maintenance I didn't want to mess with. :lol3
(even down to the inspection... I was actually embarrassed about that... )

Pretty good strategy really. Ride it for three years, sell it to Ted, and buy it back in six months after he's spent a bunch of money on it. :deal

Dude! Your sight issues do not sit well with me. Why do I feel the urge to set up an Enduro Hack just so you can go. WEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THUD :D

The THUD is us, and said Hack, thumpen a tree. Which I tend to do off road.

Thanks for the consideration, but I think you'd find that I make a very bad passenger. :D

Thanks - I'll check them out. I do most of my riding over the mountains, across the valley and into WV anyway, so it makes sense.

I'm sorry to hear about your eyesight! I don't know anyone offhand but I will keep it in mind in case I run into anyone. That's a great bike all around and a little more suited I think to some Dual Sport riding than the big Strom is.

Okay guys, hate to do this, but here goes. I'm in need of a riding partner. I am losing my riding buddy "OldnoGPS" (Ted Glass) to vision related problems for the foreseeable future. We have had a lot of great adventures over the last 6-7 years. A little about me, I am retired and really enjoy finding new FR's, dirt roads, and CR's in WV to ride and explore. My schedule is flexible, but I prefer riding during the week, less crazy cagers. Do a lot of riding west of the Blue Ridge from So. Maryland to Lewisburg WV, Marlinton WV area at present. Anyone else out there with time to see what is down these backroads and enjoy the countryside, shoot me a line so we can get together and ride.

^^^ Yep, we've explored many places, in all kinds of weather and every season.
Ron has an 800GS and a very well used KLR. He has comfy seats on both, so be prepared for big mile days if you ride with him :D

Just say when. It's too flat here. I'll have the DR tagged next month. But I have knobbies I can put on the little XR250. Just put on the flannel shirt, overalls and Timberland boot and I'm ready.

That sounds like my style and when I do get some riding time (not often) it's usually during the week. Keep me posted, and I'll shoot you a line next time I firm up a day off.
