Very nice, and a great reason to get it. The Honda S90 was one of my first bikes.

Mine had chrome fenders. It would do 75 MPH with my chin on the tank, but I only weighed 110 then

Been sitting for about a year. new battery, rebuilt carb, new petcock, a few other bits here and there, got her running like a well oiled sewing machine in a couple weeks.:clap
This video was the first time I pushed the magic button and it started. Using the blue funnel for a fuel supply.
It came with all the parts not shown, seat, side covers, IMS tank, etc.

Gotta love a $500 KLR. I found one a few years back, also sitting for a year. Fun bike but never the same after it was stolen and recovered. Enjoy it!

Thanks,
Our son is dealing with the same crap right now, he put a baja kit on a CRF230 and plated it, some asshat swiped it, it was recovered, but needs a lot of work

I doubt it'll top out that well with me on it.

My Honda red book says late S90s had chrome fenders and optional candy paint.

Garage find..."get it out, it's siezed". What's a V65? A 650 Japanese chopper wanna be? Google...1100cc V4, fastest production land vehicle for several years! OK...how about two loads of fire wood? Took a while to get her going but boy does she go! What a pleasure.[IMG][/IMG]

The Jardines live here. They may have a 4 into one laying around. Powder coat black and...wahoo!

Front fender lifted to avoid mud jams, kydex extender front and back. Live on a dirt road and travel a few others.[IMG][/IMG]

So... Based on your location, surely you've blasted up the Beartooth and Chief Joseph hwy's a time or thirty on that bike. FUN!

Friend of mine picked up 2 separate v65 barn finds and had me fix 'em for him. Still can't believe it would hoik the front wheel of the ground in second gear without any hesitation. :eek1

I guess I belong on this forum! being a college student I have no $ but still want bikes haha.

My first bike ever I got for $300 a 1977 XS400 that had not run in 3 years.

Here is how it sits today, went for a caf tracker look. Not a ADV bike but a lot of fun for cheap[IMG]

And Just got this new bike a few weeks ago. 1973 SL350 for $200 with title, It had sat for 10 years not running. Only 6k miles on it. Already got it running and the new brakes come this week so I would be able to ride it on the road by the end of the week! Then all it will need it new paint all over![IMG]

The SL350 will be my ADV bike. Going to fit some panniers on it and re gear it for the highway! Im hoping yall will see a lot of it in the coming months!

Nice score on that SL-350, I bet you could sell it for several times what you paid for it.

Nice find!
Better figure out a better or new oem charging system for it or else you adventure will end shortly after leaving your garage(unless u consider road side repairs adventure).... :rofl
I only know bc I have had honda 350's from this era... If u verify a good charging system is working or upgrade- you're good to go

My buddy Steve has always got feelers out searching for motorcycles , especially cheap ones.
Well, he wiped out on Charlies' Briggs& Stratton V-twin powered Cushman before he was able to pick this one up , so Steveie [in pic] and I went to bring it home for Steve.
It's a CJ 750, been sitting outside for 3 years, the motors stuck, no papers, 10 kilometers on the odo, and lots of peeling chrome.
$500.

#1: 1979 Suzuki GS550. This will probably end up being my adv bike, for a while at least. Provided I can ever figure out why the blasted thing doesn't go. From what I can remember from dad taking me to school and back on it before it stopped working a decade ago it handled gravel roads pretty well, so I'll probably slap taller bars, tar-oriented dual purpose tyres and a luggage rack on it and call it done.
I have an original headlight fairing/windscreen thing for it, but the screen broke when my uncle dumped it turning into the front gate in 1983. Family hand-me-downs, gotta love 'em.

#2: 1981 Yamaha IT250H. I wanted another trailbike, so I bought one. Went with the IT because I'm a two-stroke tragic with a penchant for old shit. Doesn't normally bode well when you combine that with a budget nearly too small to live on, but I came out alright with this one.*Needed a bit of work but it's mostly there and runs like a champ.

#3: 1970-something Honda XL100. Came in a job lot with my first bike, a 1980 DT175. Dad gave it to my cousin for his first bike, then he gave it back when he bought his '98 XR250.
