As we all know it's leaf season up in the Mtns, and I missed most of it last year, s I decided to head up and get some pics this year. I packed up and headed up towards the hills. There are a few pics from Hwy 60

Made it to the Cherohla Motorcycle resort, got my cabin , unloaded the gear and decided to head out before it got too dark.

These pics are from a river that runs along the road on the way to the Skyway.....

How come you didn't come out to the Fuzzy Beaver rally? There were a ton of us ATL types out there having a great time! You would not have been alone on your GS.

My work schedule has me off on Sunday and Monday. I didnt mind being alone on the ride......I wanted to stop and take pics. I know it can be annoying if your riding in a group. I heard that you guys had a geat time!!!! Yeah Ted....I have just had an overwhelming urge to ride, and take pics. Kinda like when I started riding again for the first time in years, couldnt stop. Also I have had people offer to buy some of the pics that I have posted (:dunno) so I have been getting more and more encourgement to take the pics.

Well, the photos in this and your other threads have been fantastic. Keep at it! ;)

I used to switch bikes when I felt like I needed some new riding inspiration, but that doesn't seem to work as well lately. But I think I understand the appeal of taking photos even if I personally have a hard time taking myself out of a riding moment, so to speak, to take them myself. The day always feels too short, especially when the light is best in the (now) late afternoon.

Hmm. Mostly, I think I need to stop sleeping late on weekend (riding) days. ;)

I don't mind stopping for photos but you are right, in a big group that is a non starter. I was just trying to keep up this weekend, no time for photos.

I know what you are talking about. Last year I was kinda the same way, no real big desire to go anywhere. I would ride some places but just not have the inspiration, then I took my trip this year and it came back for both riding and pic taking. I took this trip just for the pics. I have been on the skyway numerous times, and it has to be one of my favorites that is why I took this time to stop and take pics. this time. I want to be able to look and see what I enjoy about it the most. Hope that makes some sense. Thanks again for the comments.

That photo you titled Aztec ruins, i have been there several times and have yet to figure out exactly what that was, i think it must have had something to do with building the dam that is near there, the railroad bed is just off the hill from that pic you took.
Friend of mine says it was most likely something for making concrete for building the dam.

Anyone know for sure, inquiring minds want to know.
