We're still currently on the trip from north Thailand (Chiang Mai) all the way north to the Tibet border where the sacred Kawa Garpo Tibetan mountain is located, this mountain has NEVER been climbed to the 22,113 ft summit. The last attempt in the early 90's by a Japanese expedition team resulted in fatalities. First glimpes of the Tibetan Kawa Garpo mountain below The Minyong glacier north of Deqin We're now on I think day 13 of the trip, it's been mindblowing. There's a full report in the link below, it's way too big to copy over, I hope you enjoy it as much as we are doing it. http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-...wa-karpo-6-740-meters-22-113-a.html#post29218 Also Reed, who is with me on this trip, has some written some fabulous accounts of our experiences while underway. He writes beautifully and used to write an adventure travel column for the Wall St. Journal. Tomorrow eastwards to Yuan Yang.
