We're still currently on the trip from north Thailand (Chiang Mai) all the way north to the Tibet border where the sacred Kawa Garpo Tibetan mountain is located, this mountain has NEVER been climbed to the 22,113 ft summit. The last attempt in the early 90's by a Japanese expedition team resulted in fatalities.

We're now on I think day 13 of the trip, it's been mindblowing. There's a full report in the link below, it's way too big to copy over, I hope you enjoy it as much as we are doing it.

Also Reed, who is with me on this trip, has some written some fabulous accounts of our experiences while underway. He writes beautifully and used to write an adventure travel column for the Wall St. Journal.

This village is pretty special if you do the Yunnan region, well worth a stop.

Just finalized all the details, to ride from Chiang Mai, Thailand back to the Tibet border. It would be possible to do it on a rented bike out of Chiang Mai. All the details are in the signature line, this is the best ride i've ever done.

yeah, Hi - this is the SECOND. FUCKING. TIME. that I have asked the OP here to stop using ADVrider to spam my home email, this time with a dropbox .pdf that my security software won't let me open. Not sure if it's some kind of malware or what, but MacAfee has it locked down tight.

Hey OP, there's a vendors forum, feel free to use it to advertise your tour company, but kindly stop digging into people's profiles and sending spam. And if you're using ADV to send viruses I hope you step on a rusty rake and it flies straight up your ass.

Wow, very interesting! I was wondering why the hell I started getting SPAM from this tour company. Now I know.
