It's suppose to be cooler tomorrow, and a drier heat!

I won't lie. Every branch that scraped the bike had me cringe :lol3 So far though only scrapes. The tires give a terrible bar shake at anything north of 73mph. On the upside they grip well in the dirt.

Did you balance them? My Wilds are fine to 92. My sight lines for deer started tightening up and I was running out of road. There was a little left. But not a lot.

Yah they're balanced. It's not that I think it's more an issue of knobby layout and spacing. It just causes the bars to weave back and forth. I could play with tire pressure a bit and see if that would help. Running 32F 36R.

I did almost highside in a grass field. I tell yah what. That traction control off-road is boss. Abs isn't needed but nice to pin it and be able to hold perfect drifts coming out of a turn :lol3

I've never had any of that fancy stuff. My meager little bike is lucky to have EFI.

Your pressures sound about right. Maybe bump them up a bit.

Geneseo was fantastic! You guys should've made it. Best trail conditions I have seen in several years. Not much dust to speak of either, which was odd for how dry its been. We even had mud, not sure if it was imported though...:lol3
I rode 2 loops with Dirk, first loop Moose rode with us. It was warm but honestly it didn't bother me as much as I expected.

My Dual Sport/ Enduro ride report:

350 mile round trip from my house, got there around noon on Friday, 97 degrees is what the dash said on the 990 as I crossed the Mississippi into Iowa that afternoon in search of gravel, yes Iowa sucks.

Saturday they let out the Dual Sports as soon as you signed up, Reveille, Dirk and myself were on the bikes by 8:15, sweet, temps were pretty mild still that early, conditions were perfect, the 1" of rain they got Wed. made the ground very tacky, it was nice to be on brand new tires. Finished the first loop with no drama by 10:15, 35 miles total, put some food in us and refilled our Camel Backs and off we went, in the first woods section Dirk tried to kill himself by flipping his bike upside down on himself crossing a ditch, shortly after that I took a wrong turn and ended up on the Enduro course, still managed to get back with a total of 70 miles that day.

Sunday, race day, despite the heat and no air conditioning, I managed to get 10 hours of much needed sleep, it got down to 69 degrees at night. I chose row 29 thinking if I started farther back, I wouldn't have to pull over for A riders as much wasting time.

At the end of the first test, according to Cloud Scoring, I was in 2nd place, 26 seconds behind first place in 50+ class, I was feeling pretty good, I rode most of the course the day before. This is were things went sideways, halfway through the first transfer section, I crashed on a big down hill sandy off camber, little tumble over the bars, no biggie right?, pick the bike up and realize I have no clutch, make a long story short, the cable had jumped out of it's frame holder and got smashed between the lower triple tree and frame, severing the cable in half.

136 riders, I DNF'd and still wound up 131st, not last!

I will attempt to redeem myself at Leaf River.

I don't want to burst your bubble Moose...but I will. First off you were in the 50B class, so all the fast guys were in 50A class. And according to the time sheet you were in 9th place out of 10 50B riders after the first section. So you're right, you weren't in last place! But hey, I just rode the couch all weekend, at least you got out.

Not bursting my bubble at all, there was a mix up Sunday in Cloud Scoring that showed me scoring better than I did. (I was surprised as well)

But just the fact it bothered you enough to look it up and call me out on it made my morning. :rogue
