Singletrack ride/High Lakes tour. 7/1/17 70 miles ,solid thrash.
Pictures, I'll take pictures. Get to see things from a different angle. This is up past K-falls.
If you get tired you can take a nap.
Or stop by a brewery for an ice cold one and some food.
But the facts are you can't get the same rush as bagging one of these and taking a ride.
Don't limit yourself, come hang out with me. It will be an Adventure you would never forget.
You guys sure know how to live.
I sweated my brains out putting on re-valved/springed rear boinger and almost got done with my new to me tank install today.

Sho Nuff Dem Biscuits is closed... according to a local I asked, "the county shut them down"...
They apparently open during festivals and serve pizza still, but no more breakfast there. I went there today just to get breakfast. No dice.
The SushiMan will be pissed.
We were both bummed, what with being aficionados and all.
But 1 quick check on the cell phone, showed us Big Chief just down the street. And man they have good stuff. Regular sit down in a nice outdoor eating establishment kind of place. Sushiman claimed he forgot all about Sho Nuff right away.
Tomorrow is another 70 miler at full chat on singletrack, early start. All are welcome.

7/7/17 Ended up being a mellower 45 mile trailride, mostly good trail going from creek to creek, then getting in water or soaking jerseys in mountain spring water, very refreshing. No people were sighted,as usual. 1 Coyote came zinging by on an early morning hunt.
Some trails with standing water and all shady.

Heh, I saw your bikes at Quality Inn while I was there on a call. Wondered if anyone was on ADV. Did you go to Black Lightning?

Did you ride the Lost Coast also?
next time, I figure next time we will ride up friday nightish, camp, do lost coast on Sat, and home sunday
Also, where is Black Lightning???
Corner of F and 5th / 101, in Eureka. You were 3 blocks from it.
We don't have a ton of space in Ferndale but any ADV'r is always welcome to our home or yard to camp in. Pretty much any Lost Coast ride passes right by us. No "medicinals" allowed on premises though...
How none of the four of us thought to go to Black Lightning, I can't imagine! I'd read about it before, and it looks too cool. I made one short video of the ride back (). Need to see if I have good footage of anything else, but I had my camera set to overexpose on the way to the coast. Painful to watch that footage.
