This. Get shit sorted, then get the bike. Good luck. We'll be here when you're ready.
oh wait. you mean it really is a moped?
holy smokes :eek1
Yep AMAC, I'm ashamed.
I think you're right.
Buy either of my CT-90's. They have dual range transmissions and will climb a telephone pole. Then grow up and get some balls.
i think, from the sound of things that you really need a Yamaha R6. helmets are a bad idea, also so don't waste time with them just open it up dump the clutch and go as fast as you can up the hill. no more problems, Norman.
or, just sell all the crap you don't need and pay the mortgage you agreed to so the rest of us don't pay the price for your iresponibility.
And fwiw, a 50cc Chinese bike will pull the hill, but it will be slow.
Oh crap he's a prepper with a wacky family situation. Fox will be doing a reality show on him soon. I'm outta here.
Funny, she didn't seem to give a shit when my brother burned up 50 grand upgrading his Subaru Impreza for street racing, and kept missing his rent payments because of it.
Oh, and I suppose common sense = starting a major argument with me because I wanted to use the prescription ointment my dermatologist told me to put on my skin to treat my eczema instead of the homeopathic asian itch cream she bought in Chinatown? Then accusing me of always wanting to start an argument because I disagreed with her on anything?
Oh yes, she's a shining example of common sense.
What part of "I'm going to pay the mortgage and my college tuition first" is unclear to you?
FYI, I don't smoke(for reference, a pack a day smoker would burn $1,825/yr, assuming you can get them at $5 a pack), drink, watch movies, or eat out. Frankly speaking, I don't feel I spend more money than any other person(certainly not my brother). I simply spent it on something else.
I also did happen to sell some crap I don't need, hence why I can afford to buy the bike, gear, and insurance, have it all paid off in full, end up with zero credit card debt, and not touch my savings at all, AND still have enough to pay for my next term after summer's over.
What part of that is irresponsible?
You're a mess. You want to troll and play games, there's a sub forum for that. This isn't it. You may as well cash in now, as I don't think you're going to get much legitimate help anymore in the scooter forum.
Well frankly I'm dead serious about making that attempt to actually use a rental moped for that commute, just to prove a point to my mother.
As far as games, I prefer the ones that involve a controller and joystick, and not the ones on a keyboard and mouse.
I just came here for an opinion on two things:
1) Can a common moped go uphill in any reasonable timeframe?
2) Moped in minimal gear(i.e. just the helmet) > Motorcycle in ATGATT as far as safety at the same speeds?
I wanted to know if there's even a snowball's chance in hell that her assumptions had any merit.
Everything else that came after is just extra that I didn't ask for.
Puleeezeeee.....move this BS to JM
Given that anything useful probably stopped at the bottom of page 1, I would've done it myself if I could.
