Here is Tom doing a water crossing on a previous MZ...
I looked back and most of my pic links are dead since I let my smugmug lapse. Oh well. Here's one that's live, hosted on a work server at a job I left 6 years ago (!), though that bike is long gone.
That's an odd looking Dual-Sport.
I was at the main crossing in my truck a few months ago and a V-star came through two-up!
And sadly that little creek crossing is gone. The road is still a good one though.
Hey guys, I live just north of Dayton and would like to join the group. I PM'd Bob.
I have a 2008 WR250R and a 2008 KLR650.
Welcome Roger, I have added you to the list.
You guys have probably already seen this, but just incase you have not....
Mid March day ride out of Madison Indiana. Wouldn't be that far for you all to come over and check out.
Going to try and do this one and maybe the KY icebreaker the following weekend. Hoping this mild weather keeps up!
Are you going to try to make this one Landon?
Might. I have a wedding to go to on March 18th, so I don't know how thats going to affect my ability to go on the 17th. Would like to though.
I"m headed to the Dakota's early June '12'. The trip would last 15 to 20 days.
Trailer to Vermillion, SD. End up at the Theo. Roosevelt Nat'l Park. I have several
specific things to do on the trip, The rest would be freelancing.
Motels/Cabins are at premium out there due to the gas/oil business.
So I've got to get with it !!
Anyone interested, give me a jingle.
Sorry, a senior moment--this trip will be oriented towards dirt/gravel/2 track.
The new Husky Put 70 miles on it today breaking it in. Has a little more power than my 250...
Beautiful bike, congratulations! You are going to have some fun on that. Better kick it over once just to get it over with.
It's a tall bike for me for sure. I already sawzall'd the tit off the kickstand so it doesn't auto retract. :eek1
Installed some homemade led driving lights (to cheap to buy Denali's). Gutted some old lights I had and put in 9w led MR16's. Keeps the watts freed up for the heated jacket and hopefully reduces the chance of cars pulling out in front of me.
Wow Bob. That bike looks good on you. Makes you look 30 years younger.
30oz MSR fuel bottle, almost 1/2 gal of extra fuel if you do one on both sides. 6.5" sweetcheeks from the KLX fits this bike also.
Ok, I'm intrigued. What size Sweet Cheeks would I need for my 2002 KLR with a stock seat? I can't swing a new seat this year!
