Renfro flyer says signups start at 7 on Sunday. Does anyone know what the start time is? Do we need to pack a lunch? Thanks

So I just picked up a dr650 to replace my dr350 and it came with a seat concepts low seat. I would like to trade for a different other than stock seat. Anyone interested?

Hello Everyone, New guy first post. I am interested in riding Pike County ADV trails this Sunday. I have a couple of questions for those of you who have ridden here before. I plan on riding my bike the entire trip so from my house near Cincinnati, up to Long's Retreat, stay the night ride Sunday during the morning and day, return to the campsite to collect my gear, and then ride home. My questions are first, my DR still has the stock Trailwings on it. I know they call them Deathwings for a reason. It's not supposed to rain according to the forecast. Will I be ok riding on these tires there or should I wait till next season and get some 606's? Also, I have a trailer but like riding my bike places. Do you think it's foolish to ride an hour and forty-five minutes one way, ride trails, and take a chance of spilling it and breaking something and out of a ride home?

Definitely go. The weather and trail conditions at Pike State should be perfect this weekend. I don't think your DR with Trailwings will have an issue at Pike when it's dry except for the more steep uphills and down hills. I would recommend you trailer mainly because your chances of damaging the bike on single track are higher and you may be pretty worn out when you head home on Sunday. Trailer to the trailhead so your trailer is nearby. The cool thing is that if you get on the trasils at Pike and decide you really need better tires, you can just leave Pike on the bike and dual sport around the whole area. There are fantastic goat path roads and I believe some gravel roads in that area. I am thinking about heading to Pike on Sunday, but I'm only about 50% sure I can make it happen.

Welcome. Another opinion....riding skills are more important than tires so choose accordingly. And all of us fools call it adventure riding for a reason. :-)

This shall be true for all dot tires off road but remember to reduce air pressure before hitting the trail.

That you want to reduce air pressure off road compared to on road .

Oh sure! On a smaller bike like my 350, I'll drop down to 8-10lbs. for off road. But I don't adjust back up when I get to a road transfer section.

I think you will be fine at Pike because it should be super dry. It gets tricky when it's muddy. It was night and day difference when riding while wet vs dry for me. Areas that were a real struggle when wet, we easily went through when dry.

Still planning on riding Wayne October 6/7 if anyone is interested! Starting at New Straitsville. Never been before so I can't be a guide, but I've got a trail GPS! We will have 2 or 3 quads and 2 dual sports.

Anyone been there in the past week? Is it pretty dry and dusty?

Looks like I am headed to Pike State from the east side of Cincy. Tomorrow AM. Will likely roll out at 9AM and arrive around 10:30AM. Who all will I run into Sunday?
