Good luck finding single track at either of those places - maybe some bootleg stuff.

If you have a plated bike and want true enduro style single track go to some of the southern Ohio dualsports (or enduros).

I guess @wheels2 is the only one doing the Lake Vesuvius. Thanks for the offer to trailer over but you're right in that being in Willimington makes it a challenge. I'm gonna try to make it. Maybe we can hook up if I make it. I know someone else going but they'll be on a 300 (not exactly evenly matched to my 640).

From satellite images look like the camping would just be in a gravel lot.

I went to the Poker Run, it was a blast! I never saw a silver f150, otherwise I would have come and said hi.

We were parked behind sign up. Did you hit the blue and orange sections? What were you riding?

I was on a 2006 Husky TE610 and I stuck to the red path for the most part, except when I accidentally ended up on the blue. It was my first time riding real single track on the big bike which was quite an experience. I only completed one lap, but it sure was fun!

Yeah that 610 would've been a handful! The blue/orange stuff was great all day. It got a lot less traffic. The last time I saw Jeff - he had ridden 77 miles! And he was going back out. He is one badass and fast rider! Me? I packed it in after 60 miles. Yesterday I was darn sore. :oscar

Next year there are plans for a spring and fall ride. Stay tuned.

I definitely need to better prepare myself for next time. I wasnt really sure what the scene was going to be like down there, but now I know what to expect. Maybe some real knobbies will help too! I was riding on DOT approved Michelin T63's that were half bald. I was sliding all over the place.

There's lots more single track where that came from here in KY! You'll have to get that big 610 out on the KAT soon.

If you want single track, it is there at Wayne, but off the main areas. Long Ridge is kind of an island not connected to main loop, so very few 4 wheelers ever get in there and there are about 9+ miles of good riding single track, plus a lot of other trails made by local D/S groups. We are riding there on Veterans Day if you want to tag along.

Another thanks to you Jeff for your KAT development work. I had a blast riding just two sections out of Pine Mountain State Park, KY. I'm too big a wuss to actually ride the loop and camp out, but I sure do appreciate your posting the loop. Pine Mountain S.P. made a great place to stay for two nights.

I'm thinking Redbird Crest Trail tomorrow. Weather forecast - 59 and sunny. Leaves should be brilliant. PM me if you want to join in. Depart Peabody RS around 10AM.

They've had an ACE trail crew working on the singletrack sections and I'm anxious to see their results. Plus - I know y'all been dying for some pics. :D

Usual disclaimer - recommended for advanced riders only.
