Thanks, how do they figure in the big scheme of things?
Good, Bad, or do you keep well clear
Thy aren't much different mechanically from an early Ambassador. Carbs may be different (remote float bowl?) on early V700s, and some parts are unique, like the valve covers and battery covers. Otherwise it's a loop. They are collectable!
This thing is awesome:
They are pretty little bikes....wheelbase slightly shorter than the other Loops via a different fork tree...smaller gas tank really makes them seem smaller when sitting on it....spokes wouldn't be stainless...a few other differences that I can't think of right now...
I thought they had reduced trail via more offset in the tripleclamp (good for sidecars). the fork tubes being further out and the contact patch being further out makes for a longer wheelbase.
Duh...believe you are correct, got it backwards...
Been a Goose fan for a while.Always good to have a couple around, just to remind me what it used to be like.
Stiil have the Ambassador. The pic was taken some 30 years ago.
Got the old girl out yesterday
And why wouldn't you?
I think I'd get her out everyday I could!
:eek1This is what I need to see to help me through with my T3 project! I'm a long way off, and appreciate this morale boost.
T3 pretend cop bike. It had a windscreen, but I couldn't stand it, so took it off.
