So how was it? I'm headed up Sunday morning, planning on dropping into Corona and doing lunch at tom's farms.

The conditions tonight were great, if you like it wet. :evil

Sunday should be perfect, but I doubt the gates will be open.

Never really a problem anyway, less cage traffic that way.

Great ride tonight with the boys.

Left early to check out the Peak, gate closed after passing "OPEN" sign at the forestry station.

Oh well take the cutoff and on to the top, clear at the top but the rain was a coming.

Crossed paths with one other rider, kid on twosmoke no plate what a hoodlum.

Headed down to Cooks to meetup with the boys via SST. was fun and hairy no rain yet.

Cooks by 5 O'clock for a burger and fries, now the rain comes.

Fat Nelly shows up then Chillum and HB. We get our heads strait and head back up to old camp.

The rest is just a wet muddy slick snot fest, couldn't see for shit and lost half the pack.

HB hung in there and we made it to "Old Camp" and back in one piece.

    Good times...

I'm jeleous, sounds like a MTB ride more than MC! 1/4" of rain now, CNF will lock everything to keep us old and slow out until a mouse fart makes dust. Need to ride out to the land of the free this weekend....sorry too much election BS:puke1

That was something last night. Chill, it just wasn't your night but we still had fun. Hope the knee is not too bad. Couldn't leave a fallen man behind so I took one for the team. hb, Grinch you guys are animals for sticking that out. hb was literally soaked and he was dripping from all Extremities when we met back up at cooks. Actually we all were but he was the only guy in street clothes.
I say we start the "get hb some gear" charity drive.

People who don't ride at night are gay, not us folk.

I was too drunk to drive by 7:30 :freaky. Besides, like Grinch said, I'm too skeered to ride by myself in the rain. Sounds like it was a good time.

:eek1 Hell, almost 30 years of offshore yacht racing hundreds of miles offshore in storms and waves nearly mast high is pussy shit compared to riding CNF in the dark, and then add a little sprinkling and you guys are purely crazy and badass. I'd never do anything like that..................

I remember four guys who did a ride a few years back. They rode from LB and OC to the ANF, arriving at 5pm and rode that until 3:30am, then got on the freeway and rode across town to the CNF and hit the gate at 4:30am. Once they got there, a couple of guys met them at the gate with some more beer and then they all rode to the top, in the rain and then it started snowing when they got to the towers. I recall one of those guys didn't get home until 10am and rode the last five miles on the 405 with a flat tire all the way home.

Does anyone recall who those guys were?

Those guys spend more time riding out of town these days.............Those guys now have kids, own companies, are remodeling their houses, coach soccer, etc and have to pick and choose between riding forest trails at night or fun sick ST for a few days with a few tight buddies. :freaky

Now worries guys, it's good to see someone carrying on the tradtion that us old timers invented a long time ago when you guys were creaming your pants over going to see George Michael in concert. :lol3

Bunch of sissys who don't ride local anymore because the wife got fat, gotta pull on it at the soccer game, ride big bikes that might fall and hurt their toes. Why not do it again? Sounds like a good ride.
