    I'm afraid I have a Frankenbike;
    '78 R100 lump in a '65 frame with R65 contols.
    I'm putting on wider bars for easier sidecar use, but the clutch cable I have is so tight I don't even understand how I got it on there in the first place. So I ordered a new / longer cable.

    The rig is at another location, so I'm going from memory here;
    Seems I recall a barrel at each end of the current cable- which I assume is an R65 cable? (I don't know)

    I ordered an RT cable, but there is only one barrel on the tranny end, with a sort of "nub" on the clutch lever end.

    Is the barrel in the current perch going to come off and go on the new cable end -after I get it out of the perch- or did I order the wrong cable. ? Should I have ordered an R65 cable?

    I can't find cables in any parts fische...

    The barrel at the hand lever is a separate piece. If it is worn replace.
    It does not come with the new cable.
    The Rt cable is the longest of the 5 speed cluch cable. The R90S is the shortest (if I remember correctly) or maybe the R65LS.
    Check on Max BMW microfiche.
    I believe there are 3 maybe 4 different lengths.
    The cable are located in the 32 section

    Well, that seems to answer the basic question.
    I'm going to (try) to just cut the old cable off and put that perch barrel on the end and everything should be hunky-dory.
    Thanks.
