Took my new wr250r out for its inaugural off road run yesterday. It was a really nice day especially for January. We've had a ton of rain lately, so I and my buddy decided to stay on the gravel and not mess with the hardcore stuff. It was mainly me, because I still have the Death Wings on the bike and need lower gearing for the steep stuff. Still we did 35 miles off road and enjoyed every inch of it!! Coal Creek has 70,000 acres with hundresds of miles trails, from light to ridiculous

The windmills are much bigger than you think:

Sounds like a cool place to ride. Don't we love 250s? Thanks for the report.

We took photo's at those exact same locations during a father son/s ride during their spring break from Ohio a few years ago. I remember the sound of those windmill blades moving and a fair amount of rocky terrain. We enjoyed staying at windrock campground and making the quick dash to the trailheads. That was the year just before the "new" and seriously improved campground was built... a little higher up? Thanks for sharing.
