its all about dressing properly. a 4 season suit is gonna be harsh.
    and drinking water.

wouldnt hurt to be in shape.

and you cant be opposed to being hot.

    but it can be done.

If it's pinch flats then you should run more air pressure and use heavy duty tubes. If it's nails causing the flats then you are not very lucky, chucky.:rofl

It was the cactus needles that have shedded for thousands of years.

Hi Dawg! We just got back from 4 months back East on Saturday. Will probably get the bike started and out for a few short street rides in a few days. I have a blown down mesquite tree to deal with right now.

But the weather is pretty near perfect.

    Hey Russ;
Todays weather was everything but perfect for driving in the mountains...

Less than two weeks and counting down to desert time, Thanksgiving week end into the first part of December will be a very productive time for multi day DS rides from the county.

    Anyone interested?

Looking to do some of this...

    I'd love to ride but.....
I'm now in dreary TN relearning how to ride in mud, trees and wet leaves. Forgot to mention the amount of traffic, another thrill to the commute to work.
Gone are the AZ mountain sunsets traded for fall colors of changing leaves. Have a great riding season in AZ!

Time to get some pictures of the county's wonderful riding rolling again!

I went out my first day back home to do a route that I have not done in a few years, it started well then I got side tracked :nod :happay

I've known this line was on the map for years but never poked my nose up it until this afternoon. I drove up a familiar wash then took a not so familiar wash that led to the take out ridge:rayof

The view from this vantage point on the JL foothills is allowing me to id nine mountain ranges, starting south with the Jhonny lyon hills and the Whetstones....

The 5.3 gallon tank will take a little getting used to in this type of terrain and sand.

SE AZ experts. I am considering, a ride from the valley down to Bisbee the day after Christmas. Whats the best route other than the 10? I little dirt is good but will be pressed for time so asphalt will have to be part of it.
If I can loosen up some more time, might stay the night somewhere down there. Any accommodation recommendations appreciated as well. Limited camping gear in the garage.
    Cheers and happy holidays.

If you are coming from Phoenix down to Bisbee and you want twisty pavement and some dirt about the only way to do that is take US60 east out of Phoenix to Globe, then 77 south to Mammoth, then Cascabel road south to Benson. Nest take 80 south out of Benson to Bisbee. It's some pretty good riding, parts are not that exciting but they are better than I-10!

    What AZ-Twin said.

Almost any where that is not private and you would be fine, the statetrust land requires a recreation permit ($15.00, good for a year)
Still riding? Give me a shout if you want to get out.

With the impeding weather headed our way and a busy week of putting a few more thousand bricks in the wall in SV, Sunday is certainly a ride day.
I plan on leaving Benson at 09:30 for a nice dual sport ride.:evil
The route is not firmly planned yet, as I have many options, also dependent on riders who might join.
70 plus miles, 80% dirt, maybe a little more or less.
If interested message me or be at Safeway sometime before 09:30
Here is a post from last weeks ride. Sundays ride will be similar.

Nice, I am moving to Sierra Vista for school this summer. Looks like some pretty good trails. It'll be interesting to see how the KDX likes playing in the desert!
