Anyone keen? I might head up early and take in some sights.
if you are just riding gravel I might tag along (if'n road bikes are allowed)
Going up Friday. Eddie will also be down Friday. . May take in some sights while I'm up there. Was thinking 42nd, but will definitely pick some interesting gravel roads.
You could be the first to ride the 42nd on an SV...
Actually, that sounds like a challenge. Ill ride the SV through. It may never look as shiny again, but hell it would be fun.
I havent any real plan, just have to be back Sunday, and keep it cheap.
Bart we could probably accomodate Mark on the friday, & still do a dirty ride on the saturday. Events don't really start until later.
Sounds like a plan. It'd be nice to go up the hill and have a look at some snow.
I'll fit around whatever you guys decide to to or I'll buy another adv bike....
and no you can't take the sv through the 42nd - you might get mud on those lovely shiny mufflers (even though they don't do any muffling).
Yeah I've put together a route from Hamilton, I have 3 or 4 riders coming along so far.
Will probably rock along.
I figure I head down friday, do another late in the day run through the 42nd on the way.
Just talking to our American friend. We might head up on the Friday. Do the 42nd on Saturday morning. We're keen to hook up with anyone coming from the south on the Friday.
I've volunteered him for the hill climb since he'll be riding orange.
fook fook fook
I've just found out this morning that I have to shift my mum next weekend so thats me out - again
Might head up Turakina Valley on Sat (30th) as compensation if anyone is interested
Kids rugby Saturday. I need to put a new licorice strap on the back wheel also.
Won't the adults let you play with them?
Not just ordinary rugby either. It's RIPPA.
So too rough for you then Bart
I still owe you a few for your lovely accomodation and lovelier homebrew. Will have some products onboard, probably something to warm the cockels.
Twist my rubber arm.
Put a new(ish) tyre on the back yesterday. Even gave the bike a wash. Ill dig out my new tent today and have a practice putting it up (last thing I want is a hundred hairy bikers pointing and laughing at my lack of boy scout skills).
well you slack tits missed a fun day
Pulled pork toastie in Balance for morning tea
Curried kumara soup in Hunterville for lunch
Ham cheese and pineapple toasty in Kimbolton for dinner
And my real dinner was still waiting for me when I got home - Score
It got dark just before Ashurst which was when I discovered my low beam was missing in action....
I bet you don't have as much fun on your stupid rally
So what was the ride like?
I had cornflakes with banana for breakfast, a half cooked sausage in bread for almost lunch, ham sandwich and choc chip biscuits for real lunch, chook on the bbq with a can of lemonade up its bum and roast veges for tea, followed by apple pie with fancy icecream. Oh, and I drove the car around a little bit.
