Not how it usually goes down. You think Louisville is going to put forth a total effort against Florida without it's head coach? Hell, Wisconsin had no business in the Rose Bowl anyway this year.

EDIT: Crap. Now I see that Strong is probably going to stay with Louisville. I thought it was a done deal. So, scrap my earlier comment.

Q: How do you know when a guy has made a correct sports prediction?
    A: Don't worry, he'll tell you.

If Ohio State was not on probation, would they be playing in the NC?

This would be the debate of the year if not for the probation.

Now it looks like Gundy has declined and the offer is out to Strong....who will likely decline.....Isn't this how they ended up with Dooley last time?

Probably, yes. They will be preseason #1 next year. Mark it down. Not that they deserve it.

They never should have fired Fulmer. Hiring a new coach is risky and UTe seems to be of the mind set that this one has to be a homerun since the last two turned our so poorly. I don't know what they'll do if they can't land Fedora......it's going to a tough recruiting season without a coach.

Exactly like that. The sports media has to have someone else to talk about and hype up besides SEC programs. This year it was supposed to be USC that finally unseated the SEC but that didn't work out. Next year, it'll be Ohio State.

I'm not sure why they'd offer a job to a guy who's an alumnus of the school he coaches at. It's going to take more than money to pry him out of stillwater, wait, it's stillwater, right?
