Not mine but nice to look at . . . .
Bit like Angelina Jolie
Bought my'92 GS in'93,it had 14,000kms on it,it's now got just under 205,000 kms, doubt I'll ever get rid of it.
Nice looking alright. Doesn't appear to be HPN though as far as I can tell. Standard looking swingarm and frame from what I can see. Still, very nice.
I'm a noobie where airheads are concerned and I've never posted in this thread because I didn't figure I should call myself a 'committed airhead GS rider' without a few miles behind me. Well, I've just finished up my first year as an airhead G/S owner! 31,000 miles so far and I have to say I think I'm committed. I love this bike and I can't think of anything I'd rather have
here's my ride!
ain't she a beut!?
I am in
I suppose I can join too, though I have never even ridden an airhead before, I did just buy this:
It is currently in my dads barn in CT and I live in AK. Next summer I'll be flying back and riding it home. That'll be iron butt x5. Until then my F650 will have to keep me company.
Count me in,with my'92 GS,that now has 205,000 kms on her, most of them were near redline..Have owned it since'95,it had 14,000 when I bought it.
Which one is going to show up at Crotona this year?
if you bring your 100'ed G/S P-D i'll bring mine. otherwise it's going to be the oilhead with the lighting and the heated grips!
I'll let you know when the weather is posted.
ONE thing is for sure. The speedo/odo on the PD is more accurate than on the GSA.
Where can one purchase the BMW motosport roundel that fits a typical tank emblem indent?
Those have a BMW part number at any dealership, Blaine. Max, Bobs, local dealer guy, etc..
Ah, thanks dude. I've become obsessed with that design.
Just picked up a good used tranny for the PD. After 265k kms the original's finally giving up the ghost. This'll allow me to rebuild the original at my liesure and keep the airhead flag flying.
But this KLR's pretty cool and does some off-road stuff a lot easier than the PD.
