Michael, no I don't have a solution for the broken lens thing. But, I will put some attention on it. I think you're right - a screen would probably be the best. I also like your soft luggage. I've got some aluminum boxes and the left side mount has cracked for the second time. The aluminum is more secure against theft, but I like the looks of yours better.

    Rich,

I just love those Pebbly 100PD's.

    Barb,
I swapped the Red Single Seat with Alistair and now I have the Corbin. It would not fit on eitherhis 100PD or my 100PD, the rear hand rail - lock mechanism fouls on the seat. I will modify it slightly and It will be great.

    Trvla,

An essential accessory for a bike such as this. I will also keep going.

Mick, check out the pictures on my website. I have a shot of a lovely GS shop in Toowoomba there. I wonder if the '95 classics have a little different rack than the older PD's. That's just odd or maybe it's just OZ. Barb

    Hi, just notised this topic.

I have now Gs`88, originally bike has been with 800cc engine but now it has 1000cc engine from som road modell. I have had two other airheads, R100`82 was first, I build it for year or so and drove only one summer. Then I got quite good offer for it and sold it. Then I bought crashed ex-police (what a history!) K100Rs and rebuilded it, I drove it for five years. Second airhead was R80/7, i had it only for three weeks, swapped it to this Gs. I have also had several dirt bikes, i used to do some enduro racing.

Beemers are in blood, i think. My dad bought his first beemer `72, it was R69s with Steib S500L sidecar, and of course i have been sitting in that quite much when i was small boy.

Other bikes in our carage(s) are at the moment MG850Gt, Mg 650Ntx, K100`86, R25/3`56 and R100Rt`80.

Back to Gs, when it came to me it was a piece of sh*t, paint was awfull, engine had strange noises and so on.. Its also old police wehicle... It has needed quite much work but it also gives a lot. I like it much, quite funny to drive and easy to work. However it even has some attraction, Local mc was about to give me a prize, the only under forty years old bmw owner in our town... :rofl

    Heres couple of pics.

First one is three years old, bike has just came to me

Nice bike. What kind of running lights are those? What kind of charging system are you running?

Howdy Chief!!! Running some cheapie Hella's from Pep boys or some other cheap discount auto store. About $60.00. Factory charging system 280 watts, no problems. Last year going to Daytona, had Hella's burning, heated jacket n pants, and grips on. Needless to say the battery didn't start the bike in the am. Needed a jump from Habib, the owner. Bike started and ran fine with heated gear and grips but no lights. Just a little to much!

P.S. are you the guy who bought my solo seat n rack last year, and it arrived damaged? Sorry, hope the Post reimburst you.

check out the UKGSer's forum for my little ride tale in the winter with photo's.

Where did you get the dual headlight set-up? Looks much better than the square one.
