also, what color is your GS? is it the light or repainted...doesn't look like Marrakesch Red
Hey Moman, you should know! I suspect it's mystic red.....
Yeah, I should know, but I've never seen a GS in Mystic Red. (I'm sorta color-blind too) I just thought it was a Euro version color and not imported into the USA.
Oddly enough, I have the same color on my '93 (694 or 684 I think???)
Mystic Red #689
Marrakesch Red #641
Of course that's just the code for the body parts...the actual Glasurit paint code is:
Mystic Red #323
Marrakesch Red #222
Why the Germans decided to have two different codes for the same color
Here are a couple pics of me and my r80 g/s. It has the ~9gal
pd tank autographed by Gaston R. , he's riding with me always.
And yes it does get used. These are from the 2004 Cromag DS ride.

Tell me about your screen? What did you adapt it from? Looks like a see thru Thumbnail.
You'll have to ask Junkyard, I was just putting his pics up for him
How do I find Junkyard? Do a personal Mail to him?
look a couple of posts above the pictures
As you can see it is a National Cycle I got from JC Whitney (I think)
Bolts to the handlbars, works good, holds my MEAN PEOPLE SUCK
sticker just fine.
My first airhead. Love it. I plan on keeping it a long time...
Nice. How well does the big Parabellum windshield work?
Great! I'm 5'11" and the air flow goes over my helmet with very little buffeting. At extralegal speeds and in heavy crosswinds it flexes and vibrates a little. I have the stock screen but left it on all summer. I really appreciated it in the late fall and the extended riding season. I'm sure it and the bags knock one or two percent off my gas mileage though.
Well Clang I hope you're happy
I know I am
After searching all winter I picked up a 1995 R100GSPD Classic with 17k on the clock. I almost folded on an oilhead in March but the deal fell through thank goodness I don't have pics of my new ride yet but you know what they look like.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for not letting me creep over to the dark side.
Anyone have a tinted wind screen for sale?
Congrades !! Great bike
Mine at the D-Day memorial near Roanoke, VA.
