Note Mark has adopting the 'I'm a little teapot' stance. What the hell do to do now?

The second cow ran away and carelessly stuck its head up the other cow's freckle.

The bottom photo is on the Spanish - Andorra border.

    Its wierd

the busiiness of the permiited image sizes on kiwibiker is such a minor thing and yet it utterly incenses me.

its only a forum and its only a stupid rule that has a minimal impact on day to day posting but Jantar makes think of Dan Akroyds brilliant line ...."Like I'm gonna put a bullet hole in your fuckin' forehead, and I'm gonna fuck the brain hole!"

So I've decided to have a kb holiday for a while to allow my blood pressure to return to normal

am I the only one overeacting to this situation?

Yup. Get over it. Its a good tool to keep us in touch with others in the riding community. Don't post photos there. Easy. I brooded over it. Not worth the aggravation. I assume Jantar got assigned to look after the Adventure section in Hitchers absence - and there is a difference in how they perceive things.

Back on Topic - Gav24 by TSPFD. Exiting Takapari Rd. Love the road behind, the cloud rolling in, the semi alpine setting, the possum killed trees, the colours, the dust...Quintessential NZ

Okay, if you're not going to put this up, I will. I love this picture. Me, on the last WAR ride. The background, the dust, the roost, the attitude on the bike..also by the TSPFD

I wasn't really bothered about it at the time - thought it a bit of overkill really & a bit silly, however now after i've processed it I find it very queer indeed. I reckon he either must have been pissed (kiwi pissed) when he gave out the infractions or had a napoleon moment.
i'm sure if he'd posted a "hey guys can we please..." he would have got a reasonable reaction. But then to post his own thread with oversize pics at the same time then in a bid to show us he was one of the boys & when caught out resized then poked his tounge out at the rest of us... bizarre.
i'm not angry just kinda bemused - the same way I view elected leaders buying $90 undies etc.

Unfortunately you won't get the same amount or type of viewers here on advrider. It's been here long enough for people to looksie & post if they want but really it's only a handful.
What I like best about kb is that it is kiwi & we don't have to put up with fricking seppo popcorn smilies every post or fricking pommy rule britannia arrogance. The adv section is also read by different bike riders (sport, touring etc) & you get to visit their forums for a brief change of scenery.

As a side note not that i'm a conspiracy hunter or anything but the episode with Quasi & mental trousers vs mort puts it out there that pms may be read by mods & passed on to their mates.

I should really be writing a ride report now instead of this...

By the way absolutely in NO WAY is this a dig at jatz cos i loved his ride report (& him tehehe:evil) however found it a tad humourous that somone with dialup had the dubious distinction of the longest thread to load up on my pc:D

Nah. I get where you are coming from. It is because they are dickheads. But like Steve says. Move on.

I don't really know why the ADV crowd still hang out there. There have been several suggestions to move on, but it appears this will take some time. The dirt guys have moved on, but to facebook. Possibly the only site I have less time for than KB, but I guess I am showing my age there.

I like this site. While it is pretty "american centric", they do make a real effort to keep an international flavour here, and Baldys other photography interests means pics are well supported. Makes for a nice site.

There is also a really good crowd here. While there is a bit of "fluff", it is easy to avoid if you want to. There are some seriously interesting people lurking not too far below the surface, and I have ending up meeting some very interesting folk from relationships forged here. There are a lot of vendors, internationally competitive riders, and serious experts in various fields available here if you take the time to look and pay attention. The ride reports, Olds Cool, and various regional forums etc are all serious web sites on their own if you get my drift.

While it is good to support a local board, where it is just plain inferior, and they make little effort to improve things in so many areas, my vote is to move on. Extend your KB holiday, do your blood pressure a favor, and keep your most excellent content from the Mungatooks here. I would encourage others to do the same.

Sorry. Bit carried away there...... [/RANT]

Thats because most of the pics are 800x600 or so,and there's heaps of them, but don't tell the mods :evil

FWIW I like the K.B. but each to their own I guess  Anyway..... here's a pic
