I certainly did. There is a gentleman in Washington State who I met a few years back that likes that genre of cars and he bought it and is doing a restoration on the vehicle.

Thanks for the kind words! I bought the differentials and Porsche 930 CV adapters from a place called Peloquin and the gearset (taller 3rd and 4th gears, 3/4 hub, 4th gear oil ramps and viscous decoupler) from Long Enterprises in California.

Land Rovers, Toyota pickups, like the Hilux (much stronger than the Toyota trucks we get, and with diesel options), stuff like that. They prefer narrower vehicles because their very old side- and dirt-roads, town streets, and sometimes the passes through stone walls, are still narrow from the horse and buggy days.

I take it you've never seen all the episodes of Top Gear trying to destroy a UK farm truck?

Forest Park, St. louis MO. 40-50yr tradition. When the weather cooperates (as it did last Sunday), it's the best of the year.

Actually, it's two shows in one. The original show was for Stock cars only, so another show for Modifieds was started, and runs "separate but equal" right next to the other.

All pix taken quick&dirty style, as the thing is friggin' HUGE. Must have been close to 1500 vehicles on display between the two shows. So here's the ones that caught my eye.
