    That's a 1950 Ford with a 358 Nascar engine in it.

Mustang front clip, power steering, disc brakes.

9" Rear end with custom ladder bars.

    Weeeeeeeeeeee :rofl

It won't be a rod, just bone stock with some updates to make it a reliable daily driver. Great Grandpa bought it brand new in '48. :deal

'48 Dodge 1 ton with the special looonnngg bed, straight six flathead and a "fluid drive" transmission. Dad learned to drive it when he was 8.

Maybe I should just leave the hood off an call him Mater?

Nice looking old truck, really cool that it's been in the family since it was new.

I like the tires on the right side, but not the left. :lol3 Nice to see that it won't be turning into a rat rod. The 'patina' looks great on it. Not sure if I'd keep the fluid drive. Cool truck none the less.

That stupid chicken tax has ruined a lot of potential vehicles for many years .

Me too... Dad has 3 old ford trucks, unfortunately they are 2 or 3 ton grain / dump trucks... He also has a nice 1 ton chevy with a dump box on the back that I got running a few years ago, I'd like to do that one next (right.... like I'll ever get to it).

I think this old Dodge is butt ugly, but it's growing on me and it definitely has a history. It was my high school shop project like 15 years ago- pulled the motor but it was too far gone to rebuild and couldnt find a suitable replacement. I have a replacement now, so it's HOPEFULLY just a matter of switching parts to the long block and dropping it in next summer...

Man I wish I could get one of these in the US[/QUOTE]

That has a Ford badge, I thought Holden was a GM company? My GF has a Commodore in Pontiac livery (G8).

I do like it, and it has a pretty good body for what it is. Get her running and you'll turn a lot of heads:thumb

Is that garage underground/a cave? Any more info on this space/collection?

Not entirely positive this counts as a "cool truck" but just picked up this 87 Subaru BRAT last week for a project.
