So this is the route we took from Le Feurte to Creel. It took us 3 days and 2 nights. It was an absolute blast and we saw some epic scenery.

Day 1: Le Feurte to Cerocahui where we spent the night, you can see on the track where we stayed. This was a long day as we started late, I would recommend leaving Le Feurte around 0800. Gas is available in Cerocahui.

Day 2: Cerocahui to Urique, we backtracked a couple miles from Cerocahui to make the Urique turn off. This is a relatively easy day with great views and a long descent into Urique. Gas is available in Urique

Day 3: Urique to Creel. This was a tough day soley because of a never ending ascent out of Urique.

I'm no expert on GPS's, bikes, or routes; all I can tell you is this is how we did it and we had a lot of fun. 2 out of the 3 of us were novice off road riders and we fell over a couple times with our loaded KLRs.

I hope this helps someone out someday. Feel free to pm me with questions and I'll do the best I can to answer them.

Thanks! You just helped me out a lot. I have been struggling to figure out how I should navigate the copper canyon. I have been getting very discouraged with all the warnings of DANGER that come with this area due to drug violence on tourists, so it is encouraging to hear you made it fine. I think I am just going to follow your route exactly, so if you have any tips or suggestions of places to avoid/see I would really appreciate any help.

No response from the op so I will throw in my 2 cents,
Notice that he posted his tracks October of 2014 ? Getting advise about that part of Mexico is a lot like getting a stock tip "Past performance is not an a guarantee of the future "
All that said, I rode through that area last December and all was fine.
You might want to check into "is Mexico safe "thread , that seems to be where most of the current Intel pops up first.
