cracked fuel tank.

    Yep. New design, indeed. I took my bike in yesterday and it is ready for pickup today. The dealer DID confirm that it is the newly designed tank.
    So my bike is up-to-date with regards to recalls, fixes, etc.

    Just got a call from my dealer. BMW refused to replace my cracked tank. WTF?? Looks like I will have to do some bitching. And I was informed that the chain and sprockets will be replaced under warranty/recall. If I wait long enough, maybe I'll just get a whole new bike! :lol3

    Don't worry about it, you can have your dealer call other dealers and confirm they are replacing the tank. If that doesn't work then call BMW and have them straiten your dealer out. :lol3

    How can this be? You have a bike UNDER WARRANTY with a cracked (whatever). Don't go in talking "recall" as there is none. Just have it replaced under the warranty. Like you would if the frame cracked (without it being in a wreck).
