I'm a Facebook troglodyte. Is there a way to search for items beyond 100 miles? The drop-down box maximum distance is 100 miles and I don't see a way to search beyond that.

385 lbs?!!! For a 250? :eek7 What, do they fill the frame with lead? My GSA would be easier to get through the sand than that under powered piglet. But it looks the part, so what the hell. Pull up to starschmucks and yell " latte's are on me, girls"!

Typsy... yes/no.. you have to tell it you want Jacksonville @ 100 mile radius then search for Ocala @ 100 mile radius etc etc.
I use Searchtempest.com to search up to 1000 miles for Craigslist ads too..
Let Go app has some retarded people.

Thanks. That's what I'd been doing but it's cumbersome and I thought I was just a Luddite and unable to figure out an easier way.

I use Searchtempest from time to time. More often, I use Google for a site specific search. It's not localized but it's comprehensive. Example.

I wish that search engine could be used to find a V-Strom.

650 or 1k? Link? Not in the market right this second, but I am curious. Long story, but I'm trying to figure out a plan for a 2019 ride. And buying a Strom might be part of that plan, so I'm trying to get an idea on prices and mods.

The options are either buy a Strom, ship it to Seattle, and ride Alaska for 3 weeks +/-, fly to Ecuador and do a tour with Freedom Bike Rentals, or fly to Thailand and do a tour with Tony's Big Bike. There are a lot of moving parts involved. My riding buddy would probably prefer Thailand, I don't want to do Alaska unless I can go on my own bike (renting is too cost prohibitive IMO for longer than two weeks, and I feel like you need two weeks as a minimum to really see Alaska), I think Ecuador would be fun, and might be a little more user friendly than Thailand (just a guess on my part, nothing substantive), Ecuador or Alaska would probably be solo, if I go to Thailand my wife would probably want to come along, which has it's advantages and disadvantages. Alaska on my own bike is my first choice, I would probably store it in Tucson at the end of the trip and then fly in and do Baja/Copper Canyon/back to Jax in 2020, but the logistics are daunting.

Nice bike, and a great price.

Will those racks work with soft bags? I prefer hard cases for touring, but soft bags for anything off road. I rode a friends G650GS with hard bags on a pretty easy trail out here in AZ and my legs kept bumping the cases, pretty much permanently turned me off hard cases for anything off road.

Yes, they will work with soft bags. I used a pair on mine for a time, and loved them. Hard bags when I rode cross country though
