This bike interests me. Does anyone here have one? Common problems? Etc?

I have had one since 1987. I probably will never sell it.

These guys http://www.v4hondabbs.com/ talk of some problems, but I have not experienced many of them. I think the top-end oiling problem was in the earlier models.

I worked for a Honda dealer when those came out. Great, strong, smooth, and fast for their time. I'd buy one, but I really want an old-school Interceptor.

When I was around 10 years old, the V65 Sabre was "THE" bike I was going to get when I was old enough to ride on the road. I even had the sales pamphlet hanging on my wall for years. Probably still have it stashed away somewhere....

    NICE BIKE Danodemotoman!!!

Beautiful bike. My brother's father-in-law has one. I said, "hey, if you ever plan on selling..." He said no.

10 YEARS OLD...dang, now I feel really old. The Sabre's were nice but I was more of a Magna guy myself back in the day. I lusted over one for a few years and then finally owned an '86 for about 5 years and 40K (s)miles. Kinda wish I would have never sold the old gal. :cry

I had a buddy with a V65 Magna. He loaned to me one day and said go open it up and see what it will do. At 150 I backed out of it but the bike still had more. Probably a good thing I didn't buy one or I could have papered my walls with the tickets I would have gotten. That bike just liked going fast.

I would totally take a road trip to pick this thing up and ride some BC trails with it on the way home if I wasnt broke as hell :rofl

I rode one of these a couple years ago, pretty rad bike and rare too. Would make a sweet dual sport.
