For you other KLR types:
DG R-Series slip on muffler - $120 (vallejo / benicia)
I might be on this if I hadn't picked up a LV pipe earlier this week
Not really "finds". More like "WTF's"
Wow, the perfect price.
Remains of a TW200. Gotta be worth the drive from Bay Area just for wheels alone.
For $12k.......he must be using some special blendzall.....
$600obo. These are great trail bikes! If you can find a larger tank, you can ride these anywhere.
I don't know much about Yamaha RD's, but this one looks to be in decent cosmetic shape: http://santamaria.craigslist.org/mcy/4604049577.html
1977 Yamaha RD400 with DG heads and pipes.Needs piston and bore.
That's a decent price, top end bore and Wiseco setup is $200-300, IF it's the top end. I sold mine for $2K and I'm STILL kickin myself in the ass
So are those heads (the gold colored ones on the bike in the ad) something special too or just a different year?
They are aftermarket DG heads and they are slightly higher compression and the larger radial fins helped with cooling.
My reading comprehension sucks.
I'm shocked to see this bike for sale, the owner Russ wouldn't sell it to me at any price a couple years ago. One of the nicest, best kept 650R's I've seen and it has E-start! : http://slo.craigslist.org/mcy/4635051114.html
Very rare Street Legal XR650R with Baja Designs Electric Starter and Honda HRC full hop-up kit, this may be your only chance to own an XR 650R like this. The list of accessories installed on this XR is staggering. This bike is set up for desert ridding and is very fast and comfortable on all day rides. The only thing this motorcycle needs is a new rider to enjoy it as much as I have.

$7,500 for a 2010 KTM 530 with all the goodies seems reasonable.
I know this isn't an ADV bike by any stretch of the imagination, but still, super want! $3,800
Edited: After reading some reviews on this bike, maybe not so much want...
'The MVX250F engine has the dubious distinction of being the least reliable of any Honda street bike in recent memory. Seizures were alarmingly common, and Honda's only fix was to increase oil consumption to a ridiculous level—so much so that oil often blackened the whole rear of the bike and so much soot packed the inside of the silencers that they in essence became unmuffled straight pipes. The inboard disc was nearly as bad as the motor, seizing up up from corrosion almost as often."
"normal is for pussies"
These are both mine. On CL. About to put them on adv.
To be fair, they were both ugly out of the factory. But I am more about function.
How many replies have you got from people trying the buy the 356 in the background of the KLR?
I know Kurt, the previous owner of that bike. He's a kooky guy but did good maintenance.
