    1989 Honda Hawk GT - $1500 (Poughkeepsie)

    647cc Four-stroke V-Twin
In great shape - A lot of aftermarket and custom parts. I purchased the bike like this so I don't know the brands for every part but I know that many of it is custom. I knew the owner personally and this was babied.

    Always Garaged *
Ran Strong before stored last year. I haven't been able to start it because it needs a battery and some normal tuning such as the carb cleaned I'm sure* Aftermarket Pipe *
    Aftermarket Shock... I think Fox*
    Aluminum box frame*
Single sided swing arm* HiperForm seat mount That alone is $200*
Absolutely brand new tires ridden less than 20 miles. That was $700*
    Aftermarket Clip Ons*
    Buell Headlight Cowl*
    Clean title*

Minor scratches and wear and tear that would be expected. The bike has never been crashed.

The Bad: Its not running but ran super nice before storage. It has a few custom things to finish... The seat and the headlight. But both function fine just not Top Quality.

The Good: Great shape for its age! A ton of extras!
This is a steal if you know what the bike is and are willing to do the minor TLC.

$1500 is an amazing price so don't expect me to respond to low ball offers.

    paint color: black
    transmission: manual

Needs battery, gas and oil to run. It is a 2 stroke, so oil must be mixed in gas and in oil tank. I just painted it flat black this year. Hasn't seen the road since. It's a 50cc perfect for a first time rider, or for female riders. I would love to trade it for another bike

Y'know, if some ten-thumbed bobberhead mutilates a beater KZ440 or something, it doesn't bother me much. But the CBX was a landmark in the history of motorcycles, and as such should be preserved and cherished, not bent over a barrel and cornholed with a rat-tail file and a Skil saw. This one might still be rescued, but only if you can get it away in time from the mental patient who thinks a missing front fender and tail section, a JC Whitney exhaust, and the handlebars mounted under the top clamp for who knows what reason constitutes "good condition", and who's asking at least four times what the bike is worth.

    Great string of loser bikes!
Or bikes owned by losers I should say.
And some great comments too :thumb

Many of the bikes posted on this thread could be saved, some aren't worth trying to save, and some should be publicly destroyed as a public service.

Here's another one of those ridiculous CM400 Honda based 'bobbers'... but this one is a Honda-Harley and is 24k gold plated!!

    https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/mcy/6014288986.html

Why do they base these bikes around CM400 Honda motors? Yeah, they're cheap and reliable, but they don't really say 'bobber' to me...?

Selling my 1980 Honda CX500 Cafe racer. I'm definitely not done with the aesthetics yet, but I'm seeing if anyone is interested in buying before I do more. When I do more, the price will definitely increase.

This bike was completely went through approx. 2 years ago. I've done all fluids, oil change, oil filters, etc. this past October 2016. Excellent bike, the throttle cable isn't as smooth as I want it yet. After swapping the bars to a lower position, it created a bit of tension in the line, plus being original it's stiff from that, too.

I've included pictures of what it can and will look like, so if you're interested in buying now I have everything set forward (plan, parts, website instructions). There's a huge community out there that flips these bikes especially. What makes them great is that they're liquid cooled (radiator), it's shaft driven so it stands the test of time, they're super light, great learner bikes, and especially fun for the advanced rider. I made a quick video of the progress so far, as well as a ride of it. Youtube link:

I'm asking $2100 right now, shoot me an offer. Worst I can say is no! Thanks

I had one of these in the 80's. Got it free, which was too much. This thing was an obsolete pig-dog when brand new. Now it's a classic.
