Apparently they all ran at some point in time. The big question is why did they stop?

I'm hesitant to admit this, lest I be labeled as a dumbass, but I have one of those "ran when parked" things in my basement. Dumbass that I am, I let it sit for a couple of years and the carb got gummed up. Took it apart and cleaned it and I must have missed something, because it still wouldn't start. I've had good luck cleaning simple carbs in the past, but not this time. Anyway, I sort of lost interest and there it sits in the basement. Its on the to do list, but way down the list. I've been thinking of putting it on CL as a "ran when parked", but jeez.....do I really want to be one of "those people"? :D

That would all be good info to put in the ad. If were a potential buyer, and I found you believable, I would be reassured that when I got the fuel delivery problem solved I'd have a runner.

Maybe he thinks it's a Trailbreaker.

What is with this line anyway? I mean I get that it has something to do with phishers maybe, but do people think phishers actually read the ads?

No... they do not. And his list of things he'd trade for acts as keyword stuffing... anyone looking for a YZ or KTM is going to have this ad show up.. and hopefully flag the moron off..

There's a barter category for that.. on CL you sell or barter, both in the same ad is just asking for flags...

Looks a neat bike and if you had long legs you could always sit on the rack :D

In some areas (mine, for example), CL ads attract calls and emails from Cycle Trader, or other, local, publications.

Point is they don't read the ad or any text like "don't call me you scummy scammers"... they don't care..spammers just scrape CL for ads and reply to any contact they can acquire. Use the CL email relay only and then you can report the spam emails to CL, may not seem like it helps but it does...

Along with the "I know what I have" bot, someone should develop a "ran when parked" bot. I am sure it would mine thousands of dumb-asses.

They're silly fun. Haven't been on one since I was a kid though, I was ... considerably shorter back then, so yeah, might need to try the long legs method if one crosses my path these days. :lol2

Ha! How the hell did I miss that?

It's likely to be worth enough more once running to warrant either putting the time in or taking it to a shop.

OK, so this one is a little odd and the "outrun death" thing is silly, but I'll risk the wrath of the group here by saying that I've seen a lot of awful "bobbers" and that one is .... not awful. Sure, the tiny gas tank is ridiculous but that one is a cut above the usual sawzall-and-black-rattle-can monstrosities that you usually see advertised as "bad azz bobber projects."

This seller doesn't know what he has, a BMW SO rare it wasn't even built in 02, never even existed,

    upload_2018-1-12_17-9-30.png
but hey, it features the even more rare 4 cyl Cylinder Engine, plus it has that competitive style handlebar, who could pass on that? AND, and, and it has the automatic transmission! Extremely rare, a real steal for only $5000.
