I'll give him a dollar for every pixel in his pics.
So about $10 bucks..
probably the same ones who think it's a good idea to walk around with their pants down and their underwear up...
"Over $14k invested in time and money." If we're allowed to include time in our investment price, then my British bikes are worth hundreds of thousands.
Maybe it's me, but if I were even considering trying to sell a bike for $15k, I'd move the oil pan out of the way and reattach the seat before taking pictures of it.
in other words sat in the sun at Walmart while this guy worked...9 years of sun baked paint and faded gauges dry rotting ubber...carbon build up on motor will need to be decoked...
I really like the rubbish containers i the background.
Really sets the mood.
$6500 and it needs the tank and bodywork painted and the engine cases need to be polished! Amazing.
Heres a 2001 klr650 on seattle craigslist with supposedly over a 100,000 miles on it for sale for $1500. He says it leaks oil and needs a new chain and sprockets. Overpriced klr's are nothing new in my area but this guy actually says: "its ready to drive to south America tomorrow". At least hes honest about the mileage I guess. I tried figuring out how to do a screenshot but gave up heres the link:
"Trike only needs finishing touches"
You'll notice he did say "its ready to drive to south America tomorrow". He didn't mention anything about riding it to South America.
Just right click on the picture and select "copy image url"
Someone must have thought it was worth the money, it sold for $148,100. :eek1
I'm gonna have to say, "Yes," Regis.
Yes, there is. Final answer.
I disagree, Kathy Lee.
The ass-end of that poor Fat Bastard is hideous.
That PBR CB appeared on my street from time to time last summer--10 blocks down my street, thankfully. One of the ugliest bikes I've ever seen.
Speaking of ugly bikes, is there a thread for them yet? If not, Imma start one.
Edit: I mean...just look at how ugly that thing is! Jeezus..
Somewhere around here is a thread on the Ugliest Production Bikes ever, or something like that.
Nothing says "classy" like a bike decorated with Pabst Blue ribbon cans.
1975 Honda CL 360 / CB 360 Cafe Racer. Done Right!!! - $6500
I just completed this stunning Cafe Racer project this past weekend. I don't need to sell this bike, but for the right price I would let it go. This was a one-off and complete custom build. I purchased the original 1975 Honda CL360 back in October (pictured above in last image) and have been working on it since. All parts that were purchased are accounted for below. The only things that were used from the original bike were the frame, forks, engine, carbs, front wheel, brake lever, coils, shocks & exhaust. I have the title in hand (in my name) and it is currently registered until 10/2014. I am asking $6500 OBO, as this is one-of-a-kind and nothing needs to be done. . .except be driven down the road to turn heads.
My personal opinion, but I have yet to see one "one-of-a-kind" "custom" "stunning" "sweet" "bobber project" that looks anywhere near as nice as the needlessly butchered stock original bikes that these monstrosities sprang from.
Seems anyone with a blowtorch and a rattlecan thinks they're Leonardo friggin' da Vinci. It's sad.
