Ok, that price may even gag the most ardent old BMW fanboi
Posted in local craigslist motorcycle section.
Not anatomically correct in that they don't include the pot belly spilling out of the t-shirt.
However, I suspect the rest of the doll is......

And here I thought that all Kiwis working away in sheds were like Burt Munro or John Britten...turns out some are just hacks.
This is what worries me most - " I overhauled the engine changing bearings, rings etc where needed. "
At least the pushrods have been inspected
I feel bad for this guy, someone fed him a real truckload of BS:
Another Craigslist DS strikes on a classic BMW to only make it far less desirable. $5500? Crazy. If indeed the engine, tranny and chassis are in good running condition, and since the original body parts, tank, rear subframe and other parts are not included that bike is worth at most $1000, more like $500. If the seller is lucky enough to find some hipster to drop $5500 on that, well,....more power to ya dude.
Well, I certainly believe everything he says.....
"The seat is original and perfect..."
Barely ridden Harley? Check.
Wants new MSRP? Check.
Paid 50% OVER new MSRP 3 years ago? IDK, do people really do this?
If you did, would you TELL anyone?
Given some of the finance "deals" I've seen advertised by Harley, adding in a service plan, farkles, full pirate regalia, etc, I can believe he's pretty far underwater on it.
I can't tell you how much I hate people that write ads like this. He states "No BS", but his ad is all BS. "unbelievable", "once in a lifetime", "100% original", "museum quality", "this is it". And he's in such a confounded rush to get this miracle machine sold that he puts up pictures with the carbs, air box and points cover missing! If this wondrous time machine is all he says it is, why did the carbs need to be removed? Worst of all, this weasel doesn't state an asking price. But he's turned down an offer of $4K sight unseen (riiight...). I have news for him, if indeed that offer was tendered, $4K was generous for that bike.
I would urge this fink to put that bike on ebay. He'll have a rude awakening.
That's one funny Honda listing!
"Perfect... no rust... no tears... NOS..."
"The exhaust system is 100% original and RUST FREE. That means just that no rust, scratches or dings and pits."
Maybe he posted pictures of the wrong bike because the description doesn't match the photos.
Must be because:
"Been dealing with vintage bikes since before they were vintage and I do have a little knowledge about this stuff."
This guy is exhausting to read. He's like the lonely neighbor that you never want to start a conversation with because it will never end....
This is like a TL;DR meme.
Bad photo shows what looks like two neat bikes complete and in acceptable condition, but..."This is the bike suzuki designed the GSXR on they were so fast insurance companies and federal noise regulations forced suzuki to create GSXR." Suuuure, they did.
