I should email the guy for more detailed pictures, to try and confirm... :evil

Here's one that showed up again today, thought it might be deserving. Originally listed some 7 or 8 months ago for $3 and posted about once a week since then. Now bargain priced at half that, $1.50 for you lucky shoppers.

"1 LIKE NEW just dusty made in USA tie down strap $1.50"

Doesn't look very new to me, and what kind of dumbass would post this what must be about 30 times now, why not just throw it in the garbage can? :dunno

I'd buy that for a buck.:lol3 Looks just like the one I have left from my first ever pair of US made tie downs. They were good and I like matched pairs.

</figure> I am selling my 1983 Yamaha XS 650. I am the second owner. The original owner built it custom somewhere down south. I am selling it because I bought it and now it just sits in my garage. It is very fast. The only problem is the front light has a little chip taken out of it. I took out the electric start and the front brake to keep it more of a classic. It is a kickstart and starts first kick every time. Come check it out anytime Only $2400. Good idea to remove the front brake lever and reservoir, worth a lot more like that I'm sure.

I recently bought a 2008 1250 Bandit from a guy on CL,he delivered it from 200 miles away no charge,I had agreed to buy it over the phone and even sent a 500.00 deposit through PayPal.
I did a google search on his name,I could tell he was stand up guy, captain in the Marines, etc.

The bike is as close to new as an 08 can be,low miles, runs perfect, not a scratch on it.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

I also went to look at a parts bike recently,a can-am 175,the seller told me such detailed lies about any and everything I asked about, I figured Id at least go look.
He was a great lier for someone who knew nothing about bikes, kind of an idiot savant of some sort.
He had told me about the Fox Shocks,I held up the rusted out old betor shocks he had. He still swore they were Fox but the sticker had fallen off between me calling and getting there, again,a great and quick lier.

Carb had all re-movable pieces removed, bike was junk and sitting in a huge dried pile of dog shit with some fresh dog shit thrown in the bucket of parts, the smell was over powering and I left with out making a purchase.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also bought 2 BSA Rocket 3's out in the sticks, actually trading was involved and each was picked up separately.
I was in both about 1000.00 and they each did about 6500 in parts.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no telling what might happen if you dont go look, other bikes turn up,strange trades happen, sometimes I come home with 3 bikes jammed in the truck with boxes of parts stuffed in the cab,and was only looking at 1 initially.

</FIGURE><SECTION id=postingbody>This is my beautiful 1978 BMW R80/7. She is a spectacular bike with the perfect amount of haul-ass and sex appeal. I vomit a little when people describe their bikes as "head turners," but people actually stop what they are doing to check out this bike. Ambulances cancel 911 calls. Cops close traffic so you can run red lights. Grandmothers punch their grandchildren in the mouth just to keep them quiet so they can concentrate on the 2 wheeled majesty of this BMW. This is 100% true.

Here's what you need to know:
The bike has 2 removable BMW suitcases included. They retail at $600.
Plexiglass windshield mounts are on the forks and bars. I have the windshield if you want it too.
A rear carrying case (not pictured) bolts to the rear rack.
I have the right side rear-view mirror. I took it off because it looks cool.
I have 2 helmets (a full face and open face) included (both XL)
I took the bike to Bloodworth for a complete fluid change and tune up in April 2013
    Tires are in great shape.
    Rides 2-up with no problem.
    Everything works.
    Everything is awesome.
You will be more awesome when you sit on it.

Give me a call to begin your life transformation: HENRY at (SIX ONE FIVE) 973-2oo4

And this from what I assume was an aspirer to awesomeness:

this bike is a huge turd. You know it and I know it. Anyone who looks at it close enough would know it. So list it for a fair price and sell it. You're describing it now like it's perfect, when in fact it's a PILE of shit.

I dunno. That guy sounds like a hater. Aside from the cracked speedo glass, old tires and sorta wonky looking odo reading, that thing looks pretty clean. Maybe not $4500 clean, but pretty clean. Gotta say that flat-top Bings never made anything look cool though.

At least the first BMW guy was entertaining. Grandmothers punch their grandchildren in the mouth... :lol2

Here's one that popped up today. I read it twice, and am still having some trouble "interpreting" this mess.

On that R80/7, is the front fender on backwards? I agree with the above poster, despite numerous faux pas (valve covers on wrong sides too), it looks like a $3000 bike to me, as long as internals haven't been goobered.

I just highlight everything in the ad, copy, and then paste into a post, then I then copy and paste the ad URL as you did in case anyone wants to click that link. Then submit the completed post.
