One way to do it. But I was making fun of the Checking the oil thread.
That marble floor must be slick as snot if it gets wet!
I think youre lucky you went down, that front fender was about be a projectile
No it doesnt count, please get that garage queen eating some dirt
My worst nightmare. A big heavy adventure bike and snow......
I bet hat was a son of a bitch to get upright.
With street tires too.
I'm well versed at this point of ownership...
You can lift these f'ers (1290 included) the improper way by just grabbing the crash bars facing forward and going for it. Keep your back straight and use your legs. Piece of cake. Hug the bitch.

My 150 horses were´t calibrated to BMWs in front... And coming off single track rear abs was switched off. Panic brake:
It was a bit softer than we expected. Like a proper friend buddy took the photo before helping lift the thing off my foot.
What a jackass! Sure hope you learned your lesson from that!
Screen capture from my helmet cam.
Rear ended by a cager two blocks from my house while waiting in a turn lane for an opening in traffic. The bike was totaled.
I low sided while riding alone this past weekend... another windscreen broken off. DOH
I had intended to go through a shallower wheel rut but the bike kicked to the side launching me into a deep wheel rut. Things went bad quickly from there.
Forgot to take damn pictures in the bush but I got a pic the next day on a group ride. I actually kinda like the 'bulldog' look of the bike without the Pope's hat windscreen.
I'm thinking about attaching a laminar lip to the top mounting screws for the stock windscreen to provide a little wind protection.
Can't like that post... the bike doesn't look like a right-off. You should see if you can buy it back from the insurer.
Uhhh, just testing the dirt to find a nice soft spot for an afternoon nap:
Another rider was helping me pull the tail back to get turned around on the trail and I ended up in a low spot where I could not reach the ground so down I went.
