Everyone finished, where did I say anyone didn't?

3 of the contestants owned their own bikes. 9 of the 20 forked out cash after the event to buy the bike they competed on.

The 3 who owned their own bikes stated that had they known how capable the DCT was, they wouldn't have purchased the manual.

I couldn't tell you, was running the stock bits for this trip. The new set-up, what a f%$king battle it's been! Nothing to do with the suspension itself but shipping delays, customs holding parts for weeks, parts lost in transit...seems like it's not meant to be. Literally got the front end completed Sunday night, just in time for a 10cm of snow on Monday. Still don't have the new shock (customs hold). Hoping to get out on the weekend to beat on the forks a bit.

Hmmm, I guess I should have screened my photos a bit better before posting them. We've been developing and testing a GPS mount/windscreen brace for a couple months now. It will be for sale sooner than later.

Did you get any usable video off the crashbar-mounted camera? I tried that riding off-road and it was nothing but jello.

Footage is very usable on tarmac and fireroads but didn't get me the shots I was looking for. I was looking for a contrast with the concrete/ground to capture the speed and left / right action but sat too high (or perhaps I need to go faster...although on the mountain bikes we call it the "GoPro affect" meaning a crash will ensue). Will have to experiment hanging it upside down (can rotate while editing) on lower bar, perhaps with an arm.

I've heard the cameras referred to as "gravity enhancers". :)

The only actual damage to my left fairing is from having a GoPro mounted to my OM bars as you've done: the camera pressed into the fairing and scraped the decal. Just keep that in mind if you think you might fall over!

Haha, believe it or not, the bike really lends itself to being sideways! I mean it comes with a slipper clutch, what else is there to do :p Here some others :D

Oh and it being a Africa Twin and all, I rode out to the track with panniers and luggage, where as everyone else trailered their bikes out there haha.
