Don't worry, it NEVER rains for CroMag. Last year was dry and sunny all week, with highs of 70 degrees every single day.
I agree. But thats what the alcohol is for. The harder it rains, the harder I will drink.
As for them turning us away from the Mountain, I have seen them do it on bridges too. High winds are usually the reason. Its a nice ride there either way.
I'm doubling down on rain gear this year just to keep the gods happy.
See what I do for you people?
Yeah, 2 years ago we camped in Nova Scotia for 10 days, it rained for 9 of those days :huh So I'm no stranger to camping and or riding in the rain. It makes for interesting stories later on + you find all the leaks in your gear
This is KILLING me....
I have to un-sub....have fun
You are what you eat
Dennis et al, hi!
For what it's worth, the top of Mt. Washington this morning was covered in rime ice. Photo below. Link to Mount Washington's facebook page
If they say you can't go up on the bike, I'll take you for a brisk ride up in a car. Tighten your seat belts.
I know there's something amazingly special about Mount Washington, but if you're interested in getting high and seeing great views of the foliage, as well as having a nice ride uphill, there's always Mount Equinox, in Manchester, Vermont.
It's owned by the Carthusian Monks, who live nestled in, on the back side of the Mountain. There's an interesting story to be told about this mountain and it's 7000 acres.
Just checking to insure that my condo with both outdoor hot tub and fully covered hot tub is prepared. Please do not forget that they have to be Egyptian Cotton 800 thread count sheets, and the fresh rose petals for my bath cannot be any older then 35 mins or they just will not do.
I'm positive that all my dietary concerns outlined in the "personal appearance contract" have been met. Strawberries cannot be warmer or colder then 52 degrees.
I also must reiterate that the Lobsters I am served must have been caught within the hour by nubile young virgins and lovingly prepared by other non-fishy smelling nubile young virgins.
This is goona be a fun event, just make sure all my needs are properly met and we will get along just fine!!
I remember Hawk when he used to be a pain in the ass.
signed, the official Hawk Esquire support truck driver
Sheeeesh, I hope you at least wipe your own ass.... or do you have people for that too?
Hey there Shrineclown et al.
It looks like I might be in town Thursday evening.
Have to leave Friday morning for MD.
Wondering if I can crash the Thursday fire for a few beers?
Will gladly pay some part of the fee, and will eat across the way at Fable Farm.
nope-it never rains at CroMag
Yep, pm me,
That was a wet year...had to be 4"-6".
How's the bike coming along?
Yeah, that looks fun. Rain camping is fine when its 90 degrees, but not so much in the 40's.
Extended forecast is calling for some rain. Time to get out the cold weather gear.
Aw, what could be more fun than Vermont in the rain? IN!
Will there be a pavilion or something to hang out in if it rains real bad? I might have to pack a deck of cards or some other activity if there is.
