Well, If I get up that way, offer still is valid. And going by your signature line thing (by your "name")... thank you for serving! My wife is a Virginian, and an Army Vet as well.

I have now completed reading the first 100 pages of this thread. I'm way impressed. I'll check back in after I get through page 254.

If you have average mechanical ability and can do your own maintenance, CSC is bringing a fine like of motorcycles to North America. For the price they are hard to beat.

And as it so happens, I live 5 or 6 miles away from the first and only authorized CSC service center - I'm calling Mike back on Tuesday and hop[ing to see if I can at minimum get a firsthand look at a 2016 model :D

Just replaced the battery in my RX3 - 16 months and the OEM gave up the ghost. I finally decided on a Shorai Lithium. Fired right up upon connecting it. On its new lithium charger now and ready for a ride tomorrow.

I know my driveway has been the only authorized service center in Mississippi lol. I'm glad to see some indie shops that aren't scared of Chinese bikes. Most won't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Btw, I'd love to work the hours that couple does at their shop! Open like 3 days a week. Dang.

Yeah, I was looking at the affiliate page and saw Potterville - hell, I used to live just 3 blocks from Motos of Michigan! I have to figure out how to get over there to look at the RX3 they have, since I"m without transportation for now - how crazy is it that I'd rather save money for a CSC than a car here in Michigan?

I'm still reading the previous posts in this thread (page 140); looks like I live in a great state for putting the Zong through its paces! I really hope I can save enough money to get a RX3 by my birthday!

Geez - been trying to catch up and I see that Danimal has not only sold his RX3, but survived an altercation with a vehicle. Glad that nothing is broken, hope the aches and pain go away soon, and hopefully the DR is repairable.

My RX3 has been sitting in my garage unbidden for a little while. Work (mostly) and life has gotten in the way. And I've had to change my battery as well. But she's ready to ride when I am. Hopefully I can find some time soon.

I guess the first question is, are you a qualified (licensed) rider?
Second, you do know CSC has financing available?

Jay, I've had my motorcycle endorsement for 12 years now (have owned 3 bikes previously) and I know CSC has financing, but my credit really, really, really sucks.

And I'm up to post #201 - this has been a great read for me, you Inmates make me proud and are helping shape me and helping me discover the type of motorcycle riding I want to to as I get into middle age (I'm 53). I've had a Sachs X-Road (I think it was 125cc?), a old Honda XL250, and then a DRZ-400. Been in two accidents, but saved my ass because ATGATT :muutt I want a lighter, not as tall small cc bike to use as a local commuter, and to visit all over this country via small county and state roads, jeep trails, forest roads, etc. Would like to eventually tackle the TAT. I've learned so much in this thread about the Zong, and I'm convinced this bike can do exactly what I want and will perfectly match my riding style.

I did get an account at CR, I'll get active in there once I have my RX3. 85 pages to go and I'll be caught up!

As a light adventure bike, the RX3 can do most of what you wish but it is not a TAT bike - it is not designed to withstand the harsh conditions parts of the TAT demand - you are best thinking about a true D/S bike for that - DRZ400 is a great choice - or something similar.

That's why I might have to get a TT250 as well :p3rrySurely a 230cc can do that trip if properly prepped?
